After reading the reviews, we booked a table for a lunchtime menu. The menu was 19 euros. Had salmon salad to start - iceberg lettuce and soggy tomato meant that it was nothing special, sepia and prawn stew for seconds which wasn't bad. The best dish was pig's cheek and the puddings were typical predictable Catalan favourites. Service was great. Wouldn't go back though.

Market day (Tuesday) The place was absolutely packed with customers waiting for tables. Long menu in Catalan, happily translated on the run by "Maitre D'" into Spanish or English. Menu changes very regularly so they don't have different language versions.Set lunch menu was â¬18,50 with a choice of maybe 10 starters (some with a supplement); 10 mains (likewise some with supplements) and 5 puds. Also included a glass of wine. Food was excellent; nicely cooked; well presented; fresh, seasonal ingredients. Price was a give-away.....Would definitely go back but maybe reserve!

Friendly restaurant with a nice patio seating. We took the lunch menu at around 15 euros with gaspacho, paella, dessert and wine. The gaspacho and the fish paella were good, but the seafood paella had no flavour.. rather disappointing. Desserts were good. Pity about the very average paella..

We were at XinVic about a week ago. Splendid sharing dinner at a lovely restaurant that just opened a few months ago. It is run by a very young couple, both are about 23 years old. Heâs the chef, sheâs taking care of the front of house. Food was outstanding. Very creative dishes with excellent local products. We ordered 5 plates: Cantabrian anchovies, crispy calamares a la andaluza, 2 types of excellent croquettes: lamb croquette with honey and cinnamon (wohow!) & squid croquette with squid ink (loved it!), potatoes with fried eggs and foie gras and last but not least the braves medievals: patatas bravas topped with fried pork mince, sweet confit onion and garlic mayo. We had a bottle of local white wine and a large bottle of water and paid 44 euros. Stunning dinner from start to end. Ignore the creperias in town and go to XinVic!

We really wanted something quick with not too much effort in making a choice of what to eat, so pizza seemed the best option.Friendly service with ambient environment inside, i would imagine at weekends you would need to book, we opted for the Hawaiian and a pizza with pear and Gorgonzola cheese both were delicious and followed with home made cheesecake and tarte tatin both were delicious. Bill was good value and Would definitely return.

Signature catalan cuisine made with seasonal and proximity cooked with knowledge, creativity and dedication. We understand cuisine as an experience that, beyond the preparation and presentation of a dish in order to taste it, it has to awaken and satisfy
The place is lovely, ancient but modern, small but confortable..The food is just excellent.. is one of those "OMG" places.. tasting, different, original, best quality ingredients..The desserts.... Ok.. dont order the Oreo tiramisu because you'll get dissapointed, order the ravioli of ananas and coconut.. is. w o n d e r f u l !About the service.. We were missing a couple of plates while we were eating the home-entries.. we had no plate! And the other negative point was the delay time since we finished the last dish and they brought the desserts catalog.. but.. anyway.. the overall is that it has been a very nice experience !About the price.. between 35 and 40 eur per person, not bad! :-)Congratulations to the cooker !!!The staff are very very friendly and I'm sure the did their best and they will keep on improving ;-)I think I will come back......
