We ate here a few times during our stay in Vias Plage - food was of a good standard, steak and the kids spag bol was particularly lovely. Service could be a bit hit or miss, there was one waiter who was very good. Would return!

We stopped here for dinner one night based on the other TripAdvisor reviews. They weren't overly busy and so were quite friendly. The food was okay, but not quite what we expected based on the reviews. The "house" salad was big and quite tasty. My fish was slightly overcooked, but not enough to cause a fuss and send back especially since the seasoning was good. My husband's fish was perfectly cooked. My husband's dessert was slightly burned, but again not worth the trouble to send back. My dessert was perfect.For what it was, we thought the price was a little high (25 Euros per person for the 3-course menu) and think they must have simply had an "off" night. We would go there again. Portions were generous, and I repeat the staff were really nice. As others have said, the restaurant is a block off the beach but it is no matter. After filling your belly just walk to the beach and enjoy the view! :)

Most restaurants in this seaside tourist resort rarely climb above average; L'Ardoise is totally and successfully different, concentrating on fewer offerings in its compact varied menu all of which are made from the freshest market ingredients. At lunch you can opt for 1, 2 or 3 course set-menus and can even vary the portions between a standard or "light" lunch - brilliant concept. Have been twice. All 4 of us rated both food and wine as top quality at respectable prices with excellent friendly service and all going again very soon !

Having decided to go to O Grain de Sel after reading various reviews, we were not disappointed. The lunchtime menu provided a number of options for all 3 courses and both of us were very pleased with our choices, which were delicious and at 17.90 ⬠per person it was very good value.We shall definitely be returning.Dear Frogowner, What a pleasure to have this kind of comments; Thanks you very much! When in France...enjoy french cuisine! It gave us the feeling of a family business and later we discovered that every detail of the food they make is well thought and authentic Brittan with premium ingredients!Don't be shy and please try a desert, it was one of the finest sweet experiences we've had! My partner and I had lunch at La Marina. We enjoyed fish soup for a starter and sea bass with rattatoille for main. The food was delicious. The chef and waiting staff were very hospitable and accepting of our lack of french. Smiles all round and the chef prepared us a new octopus dish to try which was also delicious. The setting is amazing, the sun was shinning overlooking the river. One of the highlights of our trip.Thank you very much, your opinion is so important for us.

Pop up on Vias plage - sitting by sea undercover whilst rained in white weatherboard atmospherically decorated restaurant. Great service and tasty food- I had Brochette of cod with herby mash potatoes. I ate the lot - friend had the duck (still too much meat even though cooked just right compared to veg and potatoes). Pleased we returned.

This restaurant, just as you come in the old walled portion of the city has incredible food and wonderful decor make sure you go up the winding stairs and use the bathroom the view going up the stairs out of the little window is itself beautiful.I can't properly name all the things that we had between the four of us we tried many things and had some good wines the desserts were also enjoyable. We really enjoyed the Ambiance of this restaurant and the care of the owner took in serving us. It was a quiet place to have a very pleasant leisurely lunch.We saw this when we first entered this area but it was early in the day so we took some pictures and then walked around through the city we stopped at a few other places for snacks and beers but in the end when we wanted to eat it looked like this was the most promising spot and indeed we were not disappointed.This building was previously The Bishop's quarters so if you like history that will be an added bonus for you

My family group consisting of eight of us had dinner in this restaurant twice during a ten day period. We have been coming to vias for many years and look forward to eating here. Visited on a recommendation, wasnât disappointed. Friendly staff, great service. Good choice on the menu. Food was fresh and good quality. Very reasonably priced with a burger and chips, chicken skewers and chips and two drinks for â¬35. We will be back.
