We enjoyed this restaurant - especially since it was having a special fish week - and were very disappointed to find it closed for a "rest day" when we went back the following evening (Wednesday). The restaurant is in a beautiful old timbered building. The staff were friendly and efficient. We very much enjoyed the smoked fish starter, ravioli with fish, and halibut with risotto. Excellent beer.

Once you reach Taistner Alm, have a beer and enjoy the food!If there is enough snow you can return by sled.

We went for dinner and we liked all the food we tasted. We had canederli with cheese and cappuccio, steak on the grill with sautéed potatoes and cake with grano saraceno as dessert. Service was great too. Recommended one book as the room is not big but it is lovely and cosy. Like to be back!

I went for lunch with friends and had the homemade ravioli and the mushroom fettuccine, very tasty and well prepared. The place is nice and clean, a quaint little trattoria in the middle of a small tiny village of Val Pusteria. My friend had pizza, it was ok.Fast service.Dear ValentinaCalifornia, thank you so much, we were very glad about your Review. All the staff would like to thank you for your kindness.Hoping to have you again as our guests we send you many greatings from our wonderful mountains in the Dolomites.Diether & Günther Oberhammer

this is a lovely restaurant in the middle of Dobbiaco (Toblach) but in a quiet street so it was enjoyable to sit outside in the garden of that hotel.Food was good, prices were OK.

I have been going there every year since i was 2. It's an awesome restaurant/agriturismo. Easy reachable by car or through an half an hour walk through the woods. beautiful location!! the food is genuine, natural, fresh and authentic; all for a rather affordable price! This place never let me down in 20 years! It's simply good for anyone who loves the mountains!

Italian friends one of whom is a chef recommended this restaurant. How right they were. The food was excellent as was the service. We live in Italy so will definitely return. When the young lady waitress was taking our dessert orders the owner(I think) leant over and said to my husband the mirtilli have just been freshly picked. I chose them with ice cream and they were delicious. Nothing seemed to be too much trouble and all seemed to enjoy their work rather than simply work.

Table for 12 booked at lunchtime for 7:30. Group holiday - âday offâ from tour. Really friendly, everything right, loads of choice with 4 pages of pizza options and plenty of vegetarian choices. Prices very good and considering how busy the place was really swift service. Really enjoyed it.

Where to eat Italian food in Valle di Casies: The Best Restaurants and Bars

If you are looking for local specialties in a scenic environment, friendly people, and a authentic restraurant, you have definitely come to the right place! It's a bit remote and while going there you may wonder when you'll get there, but it will definitely be worth the drive. If the weather is good you will enjoy the amazing view. You should make reservations since it's often fully booked. Interestingly, while the food is mostly traditional Tyrolean, most of the guests the we have seen while there (we have been the 4 times), are mostly Italians from further south, people that are used to a very different kitchen and traditions. But like us, they find it worth while coming here. It has become a tradition for us to eat here every year when we're here on vacation. and we have never been disappointed, so give it a try!
