We recently had an excellent lunch at the Hotel Contenital in their chique dining room with efficient and friendly service. All 4 of us ordered off the daily menu which provided a great selection and super value. The ambiance was great and the food better yet. Please note that this is the only restaurant open in town on Monday in the off-season.....you can spend a long time looking.

Beautiful location ; would be very good in Summer as it is a romantic little secluded spot with a beautiful little medieval village beside the Auberge. The room was sort of basic; but adequate. Wifi was rubbish but if that doesn't bother you it was fine. We had dinner and Breakfast here. Dinner was not great; very stodgy not much to chose from but the staff are wonderful. So helpful and attentive. we had no choice but to eat there as its a bit remote and we arrived quite late. Breakfast again; very very simple

We went to Le Continental for dinner last year and ate in their pretty garden. The food was excellent so we went again this year for lunch. Unfortunately it was just too hot to eat outside but the inside restaurant was comfortable and nice to sit in.The food once again was excellent and very nicely presented. There is a lot of choice and an extremely good value fixed price menu. The only problem the second time was the service which although extremely friendly was very slow and we had to wait a long time. They obviously needed more staff as the place was heaving and it was difficult for the waitresses to cope, they were rushed off their feet. This is perhaps because it was a Monday and a lot of restaurants are closed on Monday.Would try Le Continental again but not on a Monday.

A traditional cooking(kitchen), of the country(soil) and the market
On our little day trip we stopped by for lunch. The weather was nice so we ate on the outdoor terrace. I had a hot goat cheese salad as appetizer while my wife got the duck gesiers salad and they were both amazing. As main dish we both had the daily special which was grilled duck breast with vegetable; I got mine with orange honey sauce while my wife ordered an armagnac sauce. They tasted quite different but they were equally delicious. The sweet white wine was very good and the local rose' was not bad either. Nice surprise at the end when we discovered they served Kimbo coffee. The check for 2 appetizers, 2 entrees, 2 glasses of wine and 2 coffees come up to 39 euros which seemed definitely cheap for what we had.Thank you very much for your nice message. It's a pleasure to read your comment. We are happy to see that you past a good moment in our restaurant. We try to do a good and local food everyday. We hope to see you soon.

Based on others' recommendations, we went for lunch and had four different kinds of pizza. All were excellent. We were lucky to get a table as others were turned away after us, so I would highly recommend making a reservation. One plus is that sitting outside is very pleasant as there is an awning that covers every table!

Lunch untill 3 p.m. at democratic prices. In rhe afternoon you can enjoy ice cream, waffels or pancakes on the terrace.
As we are not seasoned âfrenchâ travellers we were delighted to find this bistro open and selling food after 12! Peter greeted us with open arms and gave us some amazing recommendations from the wine to the carbona au pollet. It was delightful. Hilde explained the desserts to us, so we had to stay for more. Well worth the stop and you will be well looked after and attention to detail is evident. Thank you so much for feeding us and also giving us some top tips to see in the area x

Our restaurant is located in a house of the 18th century; it has been built by French âcompagnonsâ on moat of the 13th century. The diner room itself is also of the 18th century, with antique fireplace and sculptures. Our cook tries to honor this historic
The Ravioles Foie Gras der Gers with sauce aux figs is sensational!! I highly recommend trying it!!The local Gers duck was well prepared, tender and high quality.Combine that with the lovely view over the square, friendly helpful service, nice decor and you have a winning lunch.Red and rose wines by the glass were very good. You can choose to sit on the balcony, providing an elevated view over the square.I would have lunch here again when next in Condom.

I was invited by friends to have dinner here, so I'm not going to complain too much that there weren't any vegetarian dishes on the menu... Well, only one small starter. The waitress was very nice, and proposed to have a simple pasta dish with vegetables prepared, so at least I didn't leave hungry. I must admit that the odour of the other regular non-vegetarian dishes made my dinner experience a not so happy one. We were sitting outside in this most idyllic setting, a covered market in a beautiful tiny southern French village. There were no tables inside. It's summer after all. Unfortunately it was only 15°C and on top of that lots of people were smoking around us, which I find absolutely unbearable in general, and mostly when eating...

Le Sarment is the epitome of âordinaryâ French restaurants when they are âup to parâ: simple, extremely tasty cuisine using quality ingredients, served in a pleasant but not OTT setting (even if it means that outdoor tables are actually on the - admittedly not terribly busy - main road) with HIGHLY professional service (albeit not starched collars and white gloves). The côte à lâos special on the day we visited was simply delicious, pan fried and served with VERY garlicky pommes à lâhuile (potatoes in a pan with lots of oil which come out soft with just a touch of crispy).Merci pour votre commentaire .

When we found our favourite restaurant closed on this Monday lunch we thought we would head to Condom. On the way we came across this gem. We thoroughly enjoyed both the setting and the food. There is a set lunchtime menu with limited choices but to be honest all sounded delicious. We were treated courteously by the staff and shown to a table on the terrace overlooking the small lake. Very pleasant on a hot day. As we have found in French restaurants you are not hurried into making decisions and as we were with friends we spent a leisurely time talking and eating. Madam was careful to explain how to tackle my Bulots, whelks, and also warned us that Grandma's cake may have stones in it as it was cherry, it didn't and was delicious. Our meals were cooked to perfection and the portions were a good size. All in all a lovely lunch with friends in a pleasant restaurant with good food, wine and service. As an aside, the waterfowl and fish in the lake are very attentive especially if you throw scraps to them.
