It's a tradition for us to go here on our first night. When we started going our daughter now 26 was a baby and in all that time never had a bad meal. So nice to be recognised every year and welcomed. Sardines were husbands choice and his favourite here. John dory with banana is my favourite and we all love the crispy potato rosti. Great meal excellent service. Highly recommend.

This is a lovely looking restaurant with a great setting and great atmosphere. We ate outside on a beautiful evening. Staff were attentive and made us with our 4 year old feel very welcome.The menu has a lot of choice, which isnât necessarily the case with other similar restaurants in the area. Food was excellent and Cocktails were also very good and original. The only slight downside is that we felt a little rushed, but apart from that we didnât have a single complaint.

This place is new to VDL, sitting high up above the main square opposite the Donna Filipe hotel, with great views of the sea. Very modern & simplistic in decor but nicely done. This restaurant serves breakfast, brunches & late snacks.We have only had breakfast here whilst walking our dog but Wow itâs good. Breakfast is focused on healthy options which are good portions, with various juice, smoothie drinks as well as concentrated health shots. They even allow pets. Access is limited via steps but parking is available at the pay car park close to the restaurant. Service is very good, polite & friendly.would highly recommend.

BJâs was recommended to us by as a friend as her most favourite beach bar ever. This sounds like high praise but having visited last night we agree.Being October things are starting to wind down and they serve food until 18.00 in the evening. During the summer it must be much later. I would suggest booking especially if you wanted a table at the edge of the beach which our table was.The team running the place were welcoming and unhurried but very efficient, a great combination.We all ate off the fresh fish board which was a little more expense but was first class. We didnât hold back on starters main, and two of the group had starters. For the 4 of us including all drinks and a tip it came to â¬190.Towards the end of the meal the sun set giving the most amazing set set we have seen for a long time.Well worth a visit.I am so pleased that you enjoyed your visit to Bjs and I really hope we can welcome you again soon.

Have loved Paixa from the day it opened. Set in splendid gardens. This is a gastronomic explosion of taste. Starting with the bread basket which is a MUST. Itâs like bread just before biscuits invented. A fabulous venue, run by fabulous hosts Ronnie & Gay who make your experience every time you go. The food, service and drinks are faultless and there is always a friendly, family orientated atmosphere going on.The only thing I'm yet to try is the Tuesday Night curry night, which I've heard amazing things about. We have eaten here previously. On this visit we were very disappointed with the food offering. My fish was tasteless and looked like it came plastic wrapped from a supermarket. Others had a variety of dishes and blandness was the general verdict. Better value elsewhere in my opinion.

This was our first visit and we were impressd from the firendly welcome onwards. There is clearly a lot of comoetition but the food stood out for quality of ingredients and cooking. The menu has a good range of options and despite our choosing 2 very different cuisines both were very well executed You can only compare this to mid top end restaurants and as such prices are reasonable
