This is a basic Russian food cafeteria style restaurant which feels like a chain (but I'm not sure it is). Not a great selection - food is generally pretty unappealing.

Despite being opened from 10 am on I was shown the door around noon. They said, they were not open, yet. However, many staff was already working around. The place looks charming but they seem not to want any solo guests but groups.

The restaurant «Reston Garden» offers a large choice of dishes of European and national cuisine and a great panoramic view from the 9th floor.
I like the atmosphere and views from this 9th story restaurant. Itâs called Reston Garden and they have lots of plants. I was in the mood for lighter fare and the eggplant and tomato salad was delicious. The eggplant was cooked without being mushy and it had crispy skin. I also tried the homemade pickles which were ok.

although our waiter was very kind and with good knowledge of English the menu its self was limited and even the local dishes were not very interesting .

Not a huge menu selection, and a little pricy- but where else in Siberia can you get a coke, a cappuccino, a beer, a hamburger, salad, a pasta dish, or cheesecake and a hookah while watching the Buryat Capital rotate outside your window??? Location, location, location- at Bar 12- you can see all Ulan-Ude rotate by!
Cozy place in the center of the city. Nice atmosphere. Business lunches in the afternoon and delicious evening meals. Try our author's dishes and cocktails. Welcome!
We were in this cafe twice. It is a great place for a coffee and also for lunch/dinner. It tasted very good and the prices are fair. The atmosphere is very nice inside even if it is not really spectacular outside. If you go there try the chocolate cheesecake! It was so great! A English menu would be great but most dishes have pictures on the menu and with Google Translate it was very easy. I highly recommend this place!

Great place to unwind, great coffee and food. You will be surprised by English menu. That's really comfortable for tourists. Still this cafe starts working from 8am, you can have a breakfast, lunch, dinner and late supper till 11pm. Coffee is pretty nice.
I try to visit Marco Polo every time I am here. Delicious coffee and a huge variety of desserts. The quality of food and service only improves from year to year. Stylish interior, unobtrusive music and a very cozy atmosphere of the cafe create a pleasant impression and a desire to return here again.

The Churchill Pub is a place that everybody loves! DROP BY FOR GREAT ATMOSPHERE, COLD BEER, FOOD AND GREAT COMPANY. LOOKING FORWARD TO SEE YOU.
To one side of the main square, live music most nights, wifi, meals are an assortment from deep friend drinking food to the classic dumplings to garlic bread and hot chips. An average beer selection with a few local choices. Otherwise it's all vodka!Hi! If all is not so bad as you say - why only three points?

Went on a busy friday night. Staff recommended we take a private room because we had a large group and the main dining area on first floor had a special event. Glad we did because the event was very loud!Nevertheless service was very prompt and efficient. Starters were good, mains were OK. There were several selections on the menu that were not available, including several of the beers.Staff does not speak English and no English menu, but not impossible as the menu has pictures! There really aren't any good restaurants in Ulan Ude, but at least I'd go back to this one.
