First the good points. Firstly the restaurant offer a free shuttle service from your accomodation to the restaurant and back, which does save a bit of hassle. However, don't expect a limousine because it's a clapped out fiat multiplex mov which has many warning lights flashing. In addition, some of the journey is on unmade roads which resulted in plenty of dust being in the passenger area (ladies be warned). Secondly, the view from the outside seating area at the Olive Thea is outstanding, but then there is the meal.I ordered the shank of lamb which was very nice, and had asked if I could replace the mashed potato with baked potato (I still have teeth, so will leave the puréed veg for later in life), to which the waiter said it was not possible, and anyway it would interfere with the delicate mixture of flavourings that the meal was specially prepared to supply!! I mean, what a load of Bull****. It was mashed potato on my plate, not truffle infused potato specially crushed by Himalayan monks. My wife on the other hand asked for Lamb Klefto, which was distinctly lacking in Lamb, and not too great on the Kleftiko front either. The latter dish cost â¬14, and was quite expensive for the quantity supplied.Lastly, the Olive Thea is a bit of an enigma as to its cultural roots, because it's situated overlooking a picturesque Greek bay, and yet offered Tira Misu for dessert, and a complimentary small glass of Sangria when you get your bill. Stick to the Greek menu folks, that's why people come to your island. Try a complimentary Ouzo with the bill, that would be a step I the right direction. Lastly, the service from the waiters when you first arrive is excellent. Sadly that attentiveness doesn't continue, and after our main meal dishes were removed, we struggled for some time to catch their attention in order to order dessert. In addition, we were literally plagued by a squadron of marauding wasps for part of the evening, to the extent that we had to stop eating our meal. The waiters saw us both trying to swat the little beggars with our napkins, and not once did they offer or try to assist.

Grill restaurant with Greek traditional cuisine, Mediterranean flavors, tasty steaks and variety of Greek wines!
Had the lamb and the moussaka. Large portions, so maybe worth sharing. The waiters sing along to the background music for themselves. They're happy and so will you be.Went yesterday will go back again later this week. Price is fine reasonable, we laid 32Euros for two including a carafe of wine.Oh and there are two lovely, cats!

We took an evening off from our much loved extended family to spend time together and found this gem. Romantic Greek Modern yet traditional. Excellent food based on traditional Greek cuisine but far above the level of a good taverna We spend months every year in Greece, we love the country but often the food is unadventurous. This restaurant is not like that. Everything we ate was excellent and different. From the cheese pies to the beautifully cooked liver. The service was polite and friendly. Try this place.

Although I enjoyed my meal here (allowed me to order for children's menu); my husband was very disappointed with the limited menu. Although not much choice, the food he had was well cooked and served and he did enjoy it, Lovely setting with twice weekly live music.

Pleasant staff but we were not wild about the food. Nothing wrong just not good enough to take us back there.

Possibly the most authentic Greek Taverna in Trulous. Service was excellent in this off road eaterie. We ordered the house red which was very palatable. The bread was actually fresh and not hard as it has been in other restaurants. We then shared stuffed vine leaves as astarter, very authentic. My main, Moussaka, was excellent. My husbands slow cooked rabbit in tomato sauce was exceptional. Nice complimentary ice creams served with the bill. Highly recommended.
