We asked our host where the best place for burek/pita was on our first visit to Trebinje. We ate at Natalija twice then, and three times over our two day stay on our second visit. The burek -- phyllo dough stuffed with meat, cheese, spinach or sometimes other ingredients -- is absolutely addictive.

As I said, this restaurant offers average service as well as food. Brocoli potage was thick, nice and warm. Sandwich bread was tasty and warm but veggies inside were cold. Coffee tastes nice, ice in water is available upon request, not by default. View is nice and relaxing, since garden area is located outside of building, not weather proofed. In case you are a smoker, expect an ash to be all arround you due to wing

Moderna kuhinja, kvalitetne nam
Last May we visited Trebinje fore the fist time. A very mixed impression. A town of many cultures. And sight of old eastern Europe, an some brand New modern westly arrangements. But it clearly is in influence of the European Union, and their Money. But back to the lunch-place. In old Town, - ordinary, a bit "lazy" Place. But we had lunch,The Bolognesse was good, the Vranac wine ???, so and so.Ok for a quick lunch, not more.

We wandered around looking at many menus around the old town and park before settling on this. The meals are very affordable given the portion size. I had the mixed grill which came with a pork chop, two steaks, a spicy sausage, several mince meats sausages, a kebab and ham on a bed of fries. The shopska and cabbage salads were fresh and delicious, but under dressed which may be a relief of you are accustomed to the normally salty salads of this region.

This is a hotel and restaurant on the main road from the seacoast towards BiH on ca 600m altitude, and open vistas of karst mountains, a mecca for the amateur geologist to enjoy. The restaurant has a large terrace overlooking the road, the service is fantastic and friendly We had lamb -- outstand quality and tender - highly recommended. They have local wine and grappa -- don't miss to ask as the prices are good. Fro lam its is no the more expensive side for 20 euros per kilo (compared to Serbia).

So proud and grateful for city of Trebinje and their wine culture. This is a great place to visit with a partner, friends or coworkers. Over the weekend, we had an amazing team building at Vila Pergola which is part of the Vukoje group and we were treated like royalty. Part of the visit was trip for wine testing at Restoran Vukoje. In addition to beautiful view from the restaurant, selection of wines was spectacular. The hosts were generous with their time in explaining history of the company and wine making process (thank you Julijana, for your warm personality, shared information and witty comments). More importantly, they were not cheap with wine and kept filling our glasses over and over. All of that at affordable prices.Cannot wait to go back!

I was there last year, but I am sure that nothing changed - The food is amazing for the really reasonable prices. Try "teleca corba", meat under the "saÄ", local cheese.
