Nestled hillside at the base of Jackson Hole Mountain Resort lies the intimate and rustic Il Villaggio Osteria. An eatery reminiscent of the comfortable, community-focused restaurants that pepper the Italian countryside, an evening at Osteria transports,
Teton Village has many nice hotels, but finding a place that serves breakfast, instead of a buffet, is a bit difficult. After several attempts to find a nice breakfast, we luckily stumbled into Villaggio Osteria. The food was delicious -- a nice selection of breakfast foods, different types of breads, and wonderful coffee. Our waiter was most attentive and pleasant, and we were able to enjoy a healthy breakfast without the excesses (food and prices) of a buffet.

We are locals and decided to give this extremely tired restaurant one more chance. We were seated outside. The tables are covered in extremely old sticky faded red and white checkered plastic tablecloths ala Woolworths 1960. I watched a waitress literally walk over to clear a table after patrons left, and blow some crumbs off the table with her mouth and reset it for the next guests. No proper wipe down. At $25 +/- per entree, update your tablecloths and no paper napkins for this price point! The "deck" is filthy dirty and splintered. The chairs are plastic Adirondecks that are cracked and filthy. The food was inedible, literally impossible to look at and eat! A pork medallion dish with "Hunters Sauce" tasted like a thick processed gravy right out of a jar. Hubby ordered veal that looked and tasted like chicken. Spaetzle? It was hard and obviously cooked in the morning and left sitting in a vat for the evening meals. No bread beforehand. Until tourists read accurate reviews of this terrible and filthy restaurant, we are stuck with what seems an uninterested absentee owner who will do nothing to improve food, service or decor?

Copper Bar is one of Jackson Holeâs unique and beloved restaurants, serving authentic cuisine of the Alps in a relaxed, cozy atmosphere. Our menu includes valley favorites as well as new and exciting dishes by famed Michelin Chef Heribert Miedler of Gstaa
My husband and I went to Jackson Hole for a vacation and discovered this gem of a restaurant in Wilson, just a few short miles down the road. We made a reservation and were welcomed so warmly by everyone of the staff we saw. Our table had a beautiful yellow rose on it and the ambiance is very romantic. When our server Rosalyn M. came over, we KNEW we were going to have a wonderful evening. She is positively the meaning of friendly and warm customer service, and her smile lights up the room. The restaurant has an extensive wine list and specialty drinks and we relaxed with drinks and an appetizer of Artichokes Crostini (we could have made a meal of that). Then we each ordered the Jager Schnitzel which was absolutely scrumptious!! All the accompaniments, were delicious too. The salad was extraordinary and the bread mouthwatering. The presentation of each part of the meal was really beautiful and something to talk about. Compliments to the chefs for the food and presentation!! In the warmer months they have a patio, although we did see a group of 4 brave the outside. Thank you to Bill who gave us information when we called the restaurant and a special thank you to Rosalyn for her smiling impeccable service!! We wished we had been staying longer so we could return again and again.
