OMG I can safely say that tonight was the worst experience ever, I can only assume looking at the positive reviews that we just turned up on a bad night, we waited 50 minutes for stodgy and burnt starters, at that point we just up sticks and left, I should have taken a photograph on the sorry excuses of starters but I was so angry I just wanted to leave, I did tell the "head waiter" that his food was not nice, he disagreed and to be honest so did I, as it wasn't even that good, he gesticulated to a busy restaurant and said these people don't think so, like I say maybe I just turned up on a bad night, they most certainly wont be getting a second bite of my wallet, there are far better restaurants serving way better food than this,

Visited this evening with my family for my mums 70 th birthday meal, the hospitality and service was amazing and very much appreciated. The food was exceptional, I had the mackerel starter and the trio of pork main course, it was amazing, canât recommend highly enough.Dear chefkingy,Thank you for your kind review. We visited with our Dutch friends who were staying with us for a few days. We were all very impressed with the selection of tapas, amongst them, patatas bravas, albóndigas y boquerones. The staff were very friendly and knowledgeable and we will definitely be back.

The food was fantastic on our romantic night out, set in a cosy small restaurant that used to be Cameron's which we're also loved. Service was brilliant, at least until later in the evening when it appeared Peter Griffin turned up as a waiter...Couldn't recommend highly enough, reasonable prices for quality food, drinks and service. Well done French Affair stony Stratford is lucky to have you.

We had delayed our first visit having heard mixed reviews from friends. So I am pleased to offer a 4 star rating for our visit. A quiet Wednesday evening for the restaurant with the food being tasty & very well presented. The service was polite & efficient though somewhat transactional. Having delayed our first visit we will return though not as a regular visitor as the prices are a shade high.

An amazing dining experience. We chose the food adventure which came with a wide range of well prepared dishes - salmon starter, duck, ice cream , nibbles. Melon juice appetiser, coffee and truffles. If you want to treat yourself with wonderful food and service - I can recommend this experience without any reservation! Amazing!

Lovely, well run bistro with an interesting menu and excellent service. I had a cheese and tomato quiche with chips and coleslaw, the only problem I had was choosing which option to go for! Range of produce and wines to purchase and take home too, this place is well worth the trouble to seek out.

What a nice experience. We arrived and were shown to a reserved table in the lounge while we chose our drinks and meal. Small snacks were brought with the menu, then we chose the 3 course menu. As much as I like a taster menu, I prefer to pair wines with these, and I was driving....However, even with the 3 course choice you end up with about 7 with the fillers. No fancy foams and tuile biscuits here, just good honest, traditional dishes. The service is just as traditional with friendly waiting staff who will talk to you, if you so wish. The dining experience is like going back to the 80s with none of the horrible bits. Iâd highly recommend the Folly, just donât bring your flairs. Hi Steve and thank you very much for your charming review.We try to reinterpret British classics with a contemporary twist. But we are not tempted to "show off" with unnecessary "chefiness". We couldn't fault the food, it's fresh, tasty and well presented. There was a good atmosphere as it was busy. The only reason I can't rate this is a 5, is because the service was slow, we had to wait a long time between our starter and main course, and that was after chasing it up. One of our party spoke to the manager at the end of the meal, another member of staff came over and apologised, we were assured that if we went back this wouldn't happen again. I was impressed with how they handled the situation. I wouldn't hesitate to go back as the food was excellent.
