Yesterday we went 6 persons, including a 4 years old child to have dinner at Max. We arrived at 5:30pm there and we ordered quickly because we were very hungry. We were announced that the person who made pizza, will arrive in 20 minutes, so our order will last 30 minutes, we will get our food at 6:30pm. At 6:30 pm the waiter came and told us that the cook didnât arrived after an hour late. We waited another 15 minutes and we left.So at almost 7 pm we left the restaurant hungry and with a child asking for pizza, crying. The experience was horrible for the second time!! We usually go there at least once a week but this was our last time! Distinti saluti.Colonna Gianfranco

Typically Viennese Cafe and Restaurant in the heart of Sibiu. You can visit us when you have a business meeting, for breakfast, lunch or dinner, but also for a drink. In the summertime, we have 3 options for outdoor seating. You can choose to sit in the H
Very nice place, very nice view. Good service and the food was tasty. It is a little more expensive that the average restaurant in the city. They have someone playing the piano in the evenings, very nice.I will recommend it for sure

1-Special location, with a spacious and cozy terrace close to the forest, away from all the city fuss and buzz. 2-The Josper oven-grill with charcoal which offers a particular flavour to our dishes. 3-A wide range of carefully chosen wines. 4-The veal, be
We came here on a Thursday night, full of Hope's after hearing a lot about the place. Location is nice, next to the zoo. But the place looks average, inside and out. From the beginning I new what is going to happen. Place looked bit busy but I could only count 4 servers. We sat down, and recieved menus after 10-15 min. Want to make it clear, this is not a rant about the service or food. We place a drink order first and it was brought after another 15 min. First think you noticed looking at the menu are the prices, they are quite high for Romania. I worked and dined in fine dining restaurants and I can say that the prices at Jacob's are up there with places that look 10 times better, where you can experience fine dining. Nevertheless we placed an order for two burgers. After a wait of 30 min the server politely approaches us to apologize that the order wight take extra 10-15 because of the volume of work. I said it's ok 10 min but not more please... 45 min for a burger is already alot. All the night the server was nice and polite, very courteous and I appreciate him. But this poor guy, along with one more colleague had a station with a group of 10, 4 groups of 4 and us 2... drinks and food order a la Carte, and also provide service with a smile. He was running, sweating, trying as much as possible, and he was still very courteous.. kudos for him. Food was generous and very tasty. And it's a shame cause I still left disappointed. They're short of people. It has potential but the management dont understand that they cannot only make money and bring nothing to the plate. It's a shame of the service and food. Hire people, pay 2 more guys and improve pls, give them a break cause they are to good for this restaurant right now. I hope somebody from the management gets to read this. As conclusion, prices very high for what they bring as services. And in all honesty, if your looking for a steakhouse in Sibiu, go to Benjamin's in the city center ... lower prices, better ambiance, less tables for one server to handle.Hi Florin,Thank you for your review and in-depth explanations. We are aware of the fact that there is fluctuation in the flow of clients, rising especially during the weekend. The same must have happened on the Thursday evening when you visited us.We will find ways to better backup the team during peak hours. We apologize for the delay and frustration caused.

Tango Restaurant & Pub is the place in Sibiu where the foods dances on your tongue.
The outside was full and they set up a couple more tables so that we and others could dine. The menu is quite large for this small place. We had mushroom and spinach cream soup which were thick and creamy, plus well presented. My wife had a vegetable salad, which had quite a bit of iceberg lettuce. I had tortellini with a nice creamy parmasean sauce and a bit too much cubed ham. The pasta was cooked perfectly. Our waiter was perfect. An enjoyable evening.

A traditional romanian food; good prices; we wait for you!The restaurant is situated not far away from the center of Sibiu, in the old city, very interesting area for the tourists.
We had two wonderful evenings here. This is the best place in Sibiu to visit for any tourists interested in sampling traditional local food and drink. The pork knuckle with haricot beans and the cabbage rolls stuffed with minced pork are both classics well worth trying. Much greater authenticity, quality and value than the restaurants around the central squares and shopping streets.Dear Guest, Thank you very much for taking the time to add your detailed review on our family restaurant - Grand Plaza. We would like to thank you so much for expressing your kind comments. We are happy to know that you enjoyed our Romanian food.We are looking forward to welcoming you again.Kind regards, Adi Bacila

In this hous lived Martin von Hochmeister, major of the city, a very important bookprinter and editor. He printed the first transilvanian newspaper. He was also the founder of the oldest theater in Romania. The Thalia-theatre. In 1786 his Father, called a
Interesting menu, with a small number of dishes but cooked very well and quite large portions. Reasonably priced, given that it is located centrally, near Large Square but in a quiet area. They have outdoor seating, on the sidewalk and inside there a 2 rooms carefully designed with subtle details and arranged not to be crowded. There is also a large play room for kids - something that you do not find anywhere.Nice and tasty combinations of ingredients, one appetizer and main course is quite enough. Really enjoyed the service, atmosphere and dished we have ordered!

We had a great night at this restaurant. The location is within walking distance of the old Sibiu. You enter the restaurant from the street and your transported to a Romanian experience . The waiters are enthusiastic and the decorations and room ambiance is fantastic. The meals arrived quickly and were good portion sizes . Every meal was what we expected and ordered. Good price too . We only had to wait for desert which was disappointing but overall a great night and experience.

Monday thru Friday we serve business lunch from 12 noon to 4 PM
I had seafood pasta, it was tasty and fresh. My husband had some traditional pork recipe, it was ok, not awesome and the price is not really justified for what it contains. At dessert we had chocolate soufle, which is a bit overrated because it's not actually a soufle, it a cake you find in retail and reheat at microwave.Waiter was attendive.

Central location, good service. The burgers we had were well above average, the sauces were amazing, the drinks were your run of the mill beverages that one can find anywhere. All in all it was a pleasant experience. Would come here again, would recommend. Hi Georgiana,Thank you for your post. This is centrally located and has a modern attractive look. It is not a brewery in the sense of brewing beer and the beer offer is not extremely extensive. The food menu is a nice selection, quite attractive dishes. There is an open kitchen and you may watch as food is prepared and assembled. We had virsli sausages, turkey steak and roasted sheep, each with sauces and sides. The food was generally good, strong tastes, and came in medium portions. The most interesting dish was probably the turkey, the sausages were OK and the sheep had few more chewy parts, but otherwise tasty and accompanied by delicious tomatoes and an eggplant sauce which was too subtle perhaps. Good draft beer and we had an incident with a juice which was elegantly resolved by offering a lemonade on the house. The dishes took a bit to arrive and the prices are beyond medium. Service was ok. Probably a bit more than 4 stars.
