At SHE bistro, we love and respect the land and the farmers that cultivate it. That is why we work hard to source fresh, organic, seasonal and local food for your plate. We design each seasonâs menu based on fusion cuisine by combining the best Croatian p
As a seasoned omnivore traveller whose partner is a vegetarian, trips to Europe mainland can often be dogged with spats over where to eat and whether a particular tomato sauce smells like it has been cooked with fish even though the waiter assures us it hasn't. I once made the mistake of going on holiday to the Dordogne by mistake only to discover that not only do they only eat meat there, they only eat meat that has been abused...but that is a hole other review. You can, I trust, appreciate my elation when we happened upon the SHE Bio Bistro during a daytrip to Sibenik - a place of solely vegetarian and vegan food. We both had one of the salad bowls which were clearly made with fresh ingredients. Mine had goat's cheese, olives and quinoa and (despite the other reviews that I have read) was perfectly seasoned. The best part was I didn't have to face any questions from my partner as to whether anything in her dish was disguised meat. All the staff were very friendly and the food was very reasonably priced compared to other places. I'd thoroughly recommend a visit - even if you are a confirmed carnivore!Thank you for your detailed and enthusiastic review - we really appreciate it! Have a pleasant trip around Croatia.

What a welcome relief to find a restaurant in Croatia serving local food at a reasonable price. We had tired of burgers, pizza, and pasta served at extortionate prices in Split and Trogir and in Buffet Simun found great staff and food. We had the grilled squid which is a definite recommendation and the goulash which although not necessarily Croatian was a substantial and tasty dish. Don't be put off by the environment it's not a glamorous restaurant obviously popular with local residents but has a wonderfully unpretentious feel not easy to find in Croatia.

I confess this wasnât on our radar; we had a handful of restaurants nearer the seafront on our go-to list, but a combination of being the first day of âoff-seasonâ and a paucity of vegetarian options led us to climb the alleys through this amazing medieval town until we stumbled on this cultural oasis. A beautiful location in a small square at the townâs heart, it felt as if it had been put there just for us. A spacious, secluded and impeccably prepared outside eating area made for an unforgettable night out. Although the menu was not extensive, there was exciting variety and both our dishes were perfectly prepared (if you like a lot of truffle on your pasta then youâll not be disappointed!) Staff were very friendly and service was prompt. The biggest surprise was that for a restaurant that provided the most memorable and romantic of our stay in Croatia was ours for barely £40. Canât recommend it enough.

As i search always on TA before we expected a better diner. We didnât have the feeling beeing welcome. The food was fresh but overcooked. Mussels were so small en completely dryed out. We left hungry and went elsewhere. Also no atmosphere as we were only with 2 tables.

Stopped for lunch here during a day visit to Sibenik. We both had the black (squid ink) risotto which we heard was a thing you should try in Croatia. The food was lovely, the service was good and the hidden little patio was a welcome break from the more touristy restaurants in the main square/sea front. Thank you, we are pleased to hear that you enjoyed in our food and service. Kind regards.

We happened upon this restaurant as it was next door to our apartment and we are so glad it was. Itâs small and friendly with polite and hard working but relaxed staff happy to engage in quick conversation if the shift and customer requires. The food is exceptional and the menu diverse with good variety of choice. Some dishes are on the large size and the manager will advise you of this before ordering. We ate tuna Niçoise salad and turkey cooked in creamy tarragon sauce and both dishes were mouth wateringly good. It is a small restaurant catering at high standards and all food is cooked fresh so be prepared for a wait (as you would in any good restaurant) and take a drink inside until a table becomes available. Relax, take in the amazing chilled atmosphere of the coast and enjoy great food in a very laid back restaurant that puts personal satisfaction above fast turn over of food and clientele.

This is the best discovery of our whole stay in Croatia. The best combination of a good and friendly service (Anna) with an indescriptible feel-like-croatianhome dishes. Starter was a good surprise and wine produced by the restaurant was perfectly matching our slow cooked meat. Iâd come back every weekend if itâd be possible.

We visited this restaurant for dinner and had a superb meal. It is a courtyard setting with a quiet romantic ambience. Staff were all very polite and courteous and presented your food with explanations, but were not obtrusive. We opted for three courses, but were surprised to be given several complimentary pre-starters which allowed us to try flavours we probably wouldnt otherwise order; anchovies on toast, beef tartare croquettes, a veal dish, and even an ice cream cone at the end.It was also good that they didnât over-inflate their alcohol prices as many other fine dining restaurants tend to. Overall a very pleasant experience.

The restaurant was very busy indeed when we arrived, as was every place in town, but the lovely lady managing front of house suggested we have a drink in the bar area and she would seat us as soon as she was able (about 25 minutes in the end so not too bad). The food was great. My beef cheek was, I think, the best of all - incredibly tender and tasty - but the beef and gnocchi and the seafood garland pasta were all good as well. The only thing that detracted from the great food and lively service was the sound of the many electric toy cars being driven around the square outside. Not great for us but brilliant if you are a parent of small children looking for somewhere to eat while your little ones have fun! Would certainly recommend this place (even with the noise of the toy cars!)Thank you so much for taking the time to review us. We admit, it does indeed get pretty lively on the square, especially in high season. We are more than happy that you were satisfied with our food and service.
