Glad we did not see the semi-mediocre prior reviews for this restaurant in this fantastic town. (The restaurant must have a new chef). My wife had cod and I had salmon and we shared. They were fantastic, especially with the sauces, the best we have had on our 16 day trip to 2 countries. In addition to the very friendly and helpful staff, the hot chocolate was superb.

Arrived on a bitter wet miserable day when the Icelandic Coastguard and a cruise ship were in the harbour and a weightlifting competition was taking place on the rainbow street. Nonetheless the staff were overwhelmingly warm, friendly and welcoming and made a superb extra-large coffee. The candles on the tables added to the lovely ambiance of this establishment. The room at the back has an excellent view of the harbour. So delighted to find this gem that serves great coffee in such a small village!

Great place to chill out for a bit after a long trip or just because. The staff/owner(s) are very friendly and quite interested in your stories while having some to tell themselves. But if you just want to hang out, relax and mind your own business that's fine too. Great place, very much recommended for either coffee in the morning or a beer in the afternoon or night.
