Cantina Famiglia Schiavo is a nice Italian restaurant in Serra Negra, countryside of São Paulo.It seems to be one of the best evaluated restaurants in town and I can assure is really good. Staff is very friendly and servings are good sized - the lasagna was supposedly individual but it could have served two easily at a cheap price. Wine list is not espetacular but depends on what you are looking for - at least prices are reasonable (if you are in a bigger party, the full bottles of Chilean and Argentinians should do).I tasted penne "a putanesca", which was excellent - not salty, cappers and olives in the right proportion and fresh al dente pasta (remind them you want al dente!). My wife chose lasagna (made with zucchini and cheese, covered with "calabrezze" sausage sauce). Only the lasagna would be enough! Bacalhau do Porto comes with potato, brocole and olive. It is delicious. With a good wine and in good company you are in paradise. The place is small and quiet, but they do not accept credit card only check or cash.

Paramos no meio da tarde para tomar um choppinho, chopp Ecobier, da região, tem claro e escuro, tomei o claro, muito bem tirado e gostoso e comemos a tradicional empada de palmito, deliciosa! Vale a pena experimentar.
