After waiting for one hour, our food arrived. No apology for delay! two of the four meals were not good and the one meal, a risotto resembled a runny rice pudding! When we complained to the chef, he said that it was how a risotto should be, again no apology. The meal was replaced with an equally uneatable offering, this time being so thick and gloupy - tasted revolting and had to be left.We had a most unsatisfactory experience in this restaurant and would not recommend that you eat there. There are several other wonderful restaurents close by.

A cute and pleasant place that has the rural ambiance befitting its location. Crusch Alba offers a large selection of local Engadiner specialties in addition to the largest vegetarian menu in Scuol. The Capuns Sursilvans were the highlight and well worth the visit in itself. The staff is great too. If searching for something âlocalâ and welcoming, this is the place.

Went there with a couple of friends to celebrate a birthday. Service was very friendly, although a bit slow and overstrained. The menu seems a bit unfocused, you can find anything from Bündner Gerstensuppe over Capuns over a large selection of Pizzas over Cordon Bleu up to Apfelstrudel. So was the food quality: The Cordon Bleu one of my friends turned out to be mediocre at best as was my Saltimbocca. Why am I rating it 4 stars then? Because of the Pizza another friend had which turned out to be really outstanding... Nice location and view btw...

My daughter and I were looking for a place to eat in Switzerland, entering close to the Italian and Austrian Borders, and we were told by the Border Guard that "Scuol" was the place to go. We listened, and thankfully this restaurant was open. Food was very good, Pizzas were well prepared and good. I recommend this restaurant for the food and the views of the Alps just to the south. Thanks for staying open longer than so many other restaurants.

If you want a meal that not only blows your taste buds into another dimension, but is also presented in a uniquely aesthetic way, then you will love this restaurant. The staff is also very friendly and the ambiance leaves nothing to wish for. If your wallet can carry the bill, then this place is worth every "CHF."We are very pleased to read, that you enjoyed your visit to our gourmet restaurant and that you were satisfied with our foods and our service. We would be glad to welcome you again at the GuardaVal and send you best wishes from Scuol.Jürgen WalchHost

The grounds and the restaurant rooms are very beautiful and classy. Lots of historical and other beautiful picture decorate the place. You feel, that a lot of patience and care has gone into decorating and running this place. The service is as expected for this type of place. Probably because of price level not many people seem to stay or eat here. At least not when we visited.

Dear guests Hospitality is our trademark - not only written on paper - but fully lived. Friendliness is obvious. The price-performance ratio must always fit, which is a big concern on our part! We live up to the motto: Come as a guest and leave as a frien
A warm welcome from waiters and waitresses in traditional garb awaits you at the pine-lined Astras- a lovely and authentic-feeling place in Scuol. The pizza and local dishes are really excellent, prices reasonable (for this part of the world).

We walked from Scuol to Sent for a concert at the Sent church. This was part of the Allegra Allegri festival where the Allegri String Quartet performed in a number of local churches. After a vigorous walk in the sun we were in need af a beer and were delighted to find the Chasa Veglia. We were warmly greeted (in spite of noisy roadworks outside) and had a delightful beer before the concert. The hotel is very attractive and would be a good place to stay. The menu was inviting and the view was excellent.

I choose the Restaurant Uja Traube in Scuol after looking in tripadvisor. I can confirm that it is defenitely worthwile eating there. I went there with a group of friends and chose the dish of the day and enjoyed it on the terrace overlooking the mountains. Everything was perfect, the food, the service and all this to a reasonable price. All in all, great place.

This tiny 400-year-old bar/restaurant is off Scuolâs main avenue, but it is well worth the climb up the narrow street to find it â if you enjoy meat. We had Christmas Eve dinner here and it was a perfect combination of excellent cuisine, friendly and professional service and a charming ambience. The beef filet was perfectly cooked and practically melted in the mouth. The spare ribs were amazing and the barbeque sauce was a delicate balance between sweet and tart. Rolf, the owner and waiter, was knowledgeable about wine and provided efficient, friendly service and will give you a thorough explanation of the other meat offerings, which include bison and reindeer. To top off the dinner, you must try the Toblerone mousse.
