Good traditional Austrian food. We had rösti and spätzle. Table reservation is recommended in high season. Restaurant interior rustic Austrian. Staff could have been friendlier.

We had dinner here one night in January and were pleasantly surprised by the restaunrant/gasthaus. Good food: steaks, trout or other 'traditional' choices. The open fire was buring nicely and it was a very nice evening. If there is anything "negative' to say it would be that there is also a separate "smoking section" inside. Although it did not bother us at all in the non smoking section it surpirsed us a little that there even was a smoking section these days. Anyway, we would definitively go back here for a nice meal. We coud not enjoy the view as it was night time so maybe a visit in future in Summer time is on the cards.

At âSâPfenniliâ, we serve specialties in the pan, just like in the good old days: countless varieties of rösti and spätzle invite you to indulge yourself. Back then, families in the Montafon valley always ate straight out of the pan. We have drawn our ins
The Kapell Restaurant I know since almost 40 years. We always go in the 1. floor "service" area. Food is good, service staff over the top and super fast. Ambiente is nice. When the weather is nice they have a beautiful terrasse. The only thing I really don't understand in the year 2016 is the non existent wlan. This would be so easy to adjust! However if you are used to go in Switzerland to restaurants, than the price you pay for lunch is very fair here!!!

Best place to take a break and enjoy some Apfelstrudel if you are walking up Sennigrat from Kapell. The view is amazing with the whole of Rätikon in front of you.

Typical Austrian Restaurant. Good and various menu; also for children some nice plates. Service/personal was fine. However unbelievable that you need to pay cash anno 2016... In a restaurant situated in a hotel. No cards accepted at all. So I needed to visit a ATM. Besides that no cleaning room for children. So good restaurant, nice and affordable menu but to traditional and way to old fashioned in terms of payment possibilities and services.

On one evening when were not up to.coocking ourselves, we turned to Al Fiume for take away pizza. Turned out too be the right choice. Proper tasty pizza's. But while waiting for the pizza's we decided to order also two mixed appetizers. Actually they are not equipped for this. We received each mixed appetizer in a pizza box on alu paper. But this turned out to be an excellent choice. The restaurant itself looks really outdated..

Fantastic place to eat in family. Great spirit of the chef and the waiters...all in traditional Austrian dress! All food is excellent (try the fish ;-))...but for sure try the Ice-coffee for dessert. The best I ever tasted (I ordered it twice...miam miam)

First meal in Austria and what a great place - so personably and such delicious food. Of course the schnitzel is a must be also their salads are great and really great value in a great environment - packed but with very accomodating staff - reservations are recommended.I'd definitely come back. Check out the photos. We ate their twice in our 3 day hike in the area.

The Gasthof zum Kreuz is situated in the center of Schuns' small fussganger zone (walking area). The lower level of this gasthaus is a more informal restaurant which has a more limited menu and, as other reviewers have noted, allows smoking. The upper level is traditionally decorated with an eye towards the preservation of a really attractive dining area. The night I ate at zum Kreuz, dining parties were evenly split between those sharing fondue (broth and cheese) and those ordering separate entrees. I had a local fresh cheese filled dumpling that was basically a Tyrolian ravioli and a local beer. My dumpling was clearly homemade and the filling had excellent flavor. The menu includes a hassenpfeffer that was supposedly Ernest Hemingway's favorite dish when he ate at zum Kreuz during his sojourn in Schrunns.

I came here with my friend and we had a lovely dinner, and enjoyed a few different wines from the open menu. Pinot Noir was the best. I also liked the little pot of warm soup that came it was lovely. My starter was carpaccio with salad and was brilliant, main course was very traditional schnictsel..
