Nicely appointed beer garden, very friendly staff, tender meat, fresh vegetables - do I need to write more? We discovered this by accident and were very happy about it. This restaurant has been rated by guide michelin and we think its worth the short drive from Saarbrucken....this is now our first choice after our horseback adventures at the nearby Stone Hill Ranch.

try it if you are in the region. Big parking possibilities but also big outside strairs that are not so convenient. Table are quite packed together in 4 or so rooms but with nice wood furnitures. Meals where very good adn service friendly. Vieuw is not that extraordinary, French garden is quite nice but under the 4 lane fast lane to the highways to Strasbourg or Metz or even Saarbrücken what is quite convenient.

Living in Germany and always looking for great resturants just across the border!! Great choice. Service in French, German and English. Friendly welcome. Good menu, classic french dishes. The specialty is frog legs but they were all out when we were there. The entree and dessert were outstanding. Sat outside patio, attentive service. Would love to come back if I lived in Europe longer. Take your friends.

An excellent eatery right next to the Amadeus Hotel, just one block from the train station.Great place for an afternoon coffee, beer or wine. And the meals are inventive and good, servedby a most competent staff. The outside area is small and the inside decor is funky and fun.Music most nights. Recommended.

Le Boulevard Restaurant in Sarrguemines,France is a great place to dine year round. The menu always features seasonal specials and they are also one of the few places in the area that feature Mexican style items as well. If for no other reason it is a must visit during mussel season and at this time you either arrive early to get a seat or you reserve a table in advance because they are extremely popular.Inside seating is cozy but limited and there is covered outdoor seating available most of the year. Some of the servers speak English and menus are available in French and English. Service is good although tends to slow a bit when every table is taken and there can sometimes be a wait of ten to twenty minutes for the check.

The 'Brasserie des Arts' has reinvented itself quiet a number of times in the past 50 years. From the elegant and upscale restaurant 'D'Alsace' it downgraded itself to the French chain restaurant 'Maitre Kanter' which somehow vanished and it is now the poular 'Brasserie des Arts'. The nice stain glass ceiling skylight is still there, the interior decoration is a bit more contemporary. Service is fast and efficient, even if the place is full which is typical during lunch hours. (Reservation recommended.) The food can almost be described as 'home cooking', there are many choices, the 'Steack Frites' is excellent with a nice salad and mustard/vinaigrette dressing. The set dinners are very reasonably priced. Stop there in case you want to get an unpretentious meal.

We stopped at this hotel on our way to Germany. The hotel is very comfortable and attractive. The living and dining rooms have a wonderful display of the china, pots and figurines made in Sarreguemines. Our room was very spacious and so was the bathroom. There too we could see the artisanal work as the water spout was a lion's head.As we arrived in the afternoon it was too hot to stay in our room. We had a desk fan but it was not sufficient. We chose to have a drink in the relatively cooler living room. We ate on the terrace as the night was perfect. The restaurant labels itself as gastronomic but being so close to Germany the food had already the infuence of German food and the sauces were heavy. Their first menu had nothing special to offer and, as we had their "mise en bouche", and were not impressed, we did not want to try their more expensive menu and decided to order "a la carte". There too we were disappointed as the deer and hare we got had the same heavy salty sauces. The desserts were good (and should be for the price they charge) and their wine list was good too.The service was excellent and the staff very friendly. The gardens are beautiful and this hotel is really worth a visit.
