Visited this restaurant with my partner who wanted to have choucroutes so badly. He was a bit disappointed with the meal itself. I had the assiette de cochon but was unable to finish. Throw in white wine and a non alcoholic cocktail it was ok for 59â¬.

My wife and I recently had dinner at Chez Jules in Orleans and very much enjoyed the experience. Although there were definite language issues, the very friendly hostess was able to effectively communicate the menu choices. Dinner was outstanding. I had the ris d'agneau and it was excellent. Service was very good. I would definitely recommend Chez Jules to anyone looking for dinner in Orleans and look forward to returning myself.

We were lucky to secure the last table in this small atmospheric restaurant in the heart of Orléans - close to the Cathedral without an air of the tourist trap. Delightful menu using local produce and good selection of regional wines.Happy to recommend.

This restaurant was recommended by our hotel. We turned up without a booking but they gave us a good welcome. The food was excellent and good value for money

We literally stumbled on this restaurant having taken a wrong turning from our chain hotel at Saran Nord. Are we glad that we did!!!!We were trying to find a place to turn round and spied the sign so parked to look at the menu. It was reasonably priced and very varied so decided to give a go.The staff were extra friendly and the decor really lovely. The menu is on a blackboard. 3 courses for 29.50 euros and an additonal with cheese available too. There are 4 dishes in each course to choose from and all at the same price so you could choose just one course if you wish. We didn't!!!!I had duck liver pate with puy lentils and a truffle sauce and my husband a puff pastry tart with asparagus and a sauce - both superb. We had chosen a glass of sauvignon wine and the maitre d'hote gave us tasters of 2 to decide from! My main course was filet of merlu (can't remember what this is in English) and my husband had veal. Both were absolutely fantastic, very succulent and tasty. We both had the same dessert - a amande based biscuit with cream and raspberries surrounded by the sweetest strawberries. This is what I call a dining experience - it was manifique!! Funnily enough I was reading about the new brand of Bistronomique restaurants in Paris in the newspaper on the ferry on the way back - this is up there with them! Fantastic. It is 8km from Orleans and not far from Saran. Superb - we will definately go there again. Added bonus if your French is not up to a good standard, the maitre d'hote speaks really good English and talked us through the menu. He is very witty as well -lovely man.

As soon as we arrived we were made to feel incredibly welcome. The menu was only in French, but our waiter took the time to translate the meals into English for us.When the food was served it was simply delicious. The flavours were out of this world.Highly recommended visit when in Orleans......that is if you can get a table. This place is booked weeks in advance.Bonjour,Un immense merci pour votre très joli message!Au plaisir de vous retrouver très prochainement,Très cordialement,Marie Laure Sterne

This is a typical French restaurant characterized by the tasty, homemade cooking and a fine selection of mature cheeses from different regions. Chez Dionysos prides itself in using only fresh products and offering the great options for wine by the glass.
I know that the high temperature (34 C) was unusual for Orleans, but the lunch suffered this issue. Table was outside on the walkside under a small tent. The host was kind. Fois gras was good, the raw meat was very good. Coffee dessert was curious, but not great.

We had a quick overnight stay in Saran and were looking for a place to eat. We found this lovely bistro around the corner of our hotel. Although we were a bit early we were very welcome. We enjoyed the aperitif and the jambon. After that we had a lovely salad (from the house). I really appreciated the salade oceane and my husband was happy with his steamed tarbot. We ended with some lovely desserts! Wow!

Great meal, very friendly staff and good lively atmosphere. Table for two a bit small though. I did not like having to queue to pay for the meal at the end as the waiting staff do not seem to be allowed to take your payment.Thank you for your message. Sorry for you having to wait for the payment although it is not due to us but to french regulation which oblige us to have a central payment. Regards

We luckily got into this restaurant at short notice. I'd have to say it's is one of the best restaurant experiences we've had whilst in France. The couple who run it are passionate about their wine and food. We don't speak French and the wonderful lady who is in charge of the floor carefully and meticulously explained each dish in English. My mouth was literally watering at the descriptions. The waiter was also super friendly and helpful. The food was outstanding and they have a fantastic range of delicious wines by the glass (they keep the bottles in special machines to keep the open bottles airtight and at the perfect temperature) They suggested the perfect wines to match our dishes and each one was spot on. Overall the price was very reasonable considering the outstanding quality. The service was friendly and professional without being overbearing. The food was amazing. Don't miss this and you should reserve ahead to ensure a spot.
