We are a family . Our philosophy is the highest quality products available from the Agricultural farm and the surrounding region to sell and promote . Uniquely our char caviar we sell of course from the farm in our restaurant and in the best factories in
Never, ever would you find this magic restaurant by accident! You would not even find the village Tainach (some 20km east of Klagenfurt) and even there the restaurant is well hidden. But as soon as you arrive at the parking area you will understand that this must be a special place. Cars from all over Austria and neighboring countries, normal cars and truly posh cars â so why are they all here? For decades connoisseurs agree that this is presumably the best fish restaurant in Carinthia. The place is run by the two Sicher brothers, Michael who is the genius in the kitchen and Wolfgang who is responsible for the perfect service and the well composed wine list. The Sichers have their own fish farm where they breed trout and char, so you can be sure that the fish on your plate still had a pleasant swim a few hours before you came! Michael uses these fresh fish, small local river crayfish, herbs from their own garden and vegetables and other products from organic farms in the neighborhood. And of course the famous Sicher Caviar, a char caviar which is so exquisite that it recently received the âCoq d´Orâ award from Le Gouide de Gourmands in Paris.Tonight I went there on my own for no special reason â just to enjoy a good fish and a perfect dinner! I started with a clear fish soup with pieces of fish and crayfish, flavored with fresh coriander. A culinary sensation! As main course I decided this time not to eat any of the magnificent fish creations but simply a pan fried char with garlic and parsley potatoes. Cooked to perfection of course. I ended the meal with sherbet variations â three homemade sherbets (cassis, peach and passion fruit) â one better than the other.A team of pleasant, friendly and efficient waitresses took perfectly care of me although all tables in the garden were occupied. The only downside was that I could only drink to small glasses of an excellent Pinot Blanc from the neighboring Austrian state of Styria because I had to drive back home.

All you need with a kid that needs to play during the dinner. Modern meals, nice tables, sitting outside.

Rustikaler Gasthof, Getränke, Bier, Essen(Schnitzel, SpieÃ)von guter Qualität. Der Service war nett und freundlich, der Wirt ist mit Herz dabei. Preis-/Leistungsverhältnis geht in Ordnung.

The âStrandbadâ was already closed, so dinner on the patio was real nice a quiet. Service was very friendly and efficient. My Schnitzel was first class, my wives Zwiebelrostbraten could have been better and was unfortunately served while she still ate her soup :-( Overall we thought the dinner was nice and the price we paid was fair.

Wow, a superb restaurant. Had a steak for two (500g) and it was the best steak I have ever had. Juicy, soft, nicely red inside. Fried potatoes served well salted and seasoned - very delicious. Everything served with the steak seemed to be in harmony alltogether. The wine was very good too. We did ask for a choice and were not dissappointed. Absolutely a place to visit when coming to Worthersee or in the neighbourhood.

Hungry, Sunday and evening seemed to be in this region in winter a unhappy combination. By chance we found the Stubn (cosy room) and have been quite surprised. Quite some international oriented local dishes on offer we could not resist to go with the Heringschmaus (local gold fish dish during carnival time) and the tagliatelle with salmon. We had lambs-leaf salad with potato chips (quite unusual but good) and for the kids we ordered noodles with tomato sauce. Unfortunately it did not come just plain as to be expected for little kids but with onions, veggies and quite spicy. As the kids refused to eat this dish the found they delight with the salmon-dill noodles.Pudding was kindly offered but nothing what we really liked. So we asked for a Sabayon and they really made one. It would not win the michelin star awards but was still very agreeable and we enjoyed it a lot. Their Glühwein is quite good as well. The only downside was they the charged the sent-back kids dishes in full. But as the service was excellent, unlike most of restaurants in this area they even offered a kids play corner, the food a delight and they really tried hard we thought why fight for a tenner? I can fully recommend this place for a good and honest meal and would go there back at any time.
