This is a genuine place for the real good food from back then. The food is homemade and mase just the way you remembee from then. The portions are really large! The beefstew (biffstrimler) is served with fantastic feies, and a salad with tusen Island dressing! The fun with this place is that this is not a place that tries to be retro. It is retro. IT has a small but very timeright neonsign in the Window. There is a large parkingspace, and and outdoor smokingplace with chairs and roof. The location is just outside Sandvika (1km) or aprox 15 km from Oslo, but og you drive E18, take the stop!
Fire Arstider is inspired of mediteranian kitchen, but you can find a traditional Norwegian meal during the weekdays. The pizza and sauses are homemade. The local is nicely and simply decorated. The garden is a cozy place to enjoy food and drink during th
From the moment we stepped inside the door the ambience, delightful aromas in the kitchen and welcoming spirit of the owners thrilled us! We had no idea that the food and presentation would amaze us even more. We were served fabulous selections with recommendations every step of the way throughout our dinner. The owner visited our table to assure everything was to our satisfaction and it's important to mention that the family speaks English fluently, which is great for tourists. The desserts are made only for local restaurants and they are heavenly. This wonderful local restaurant offers a fine dining experience with all of the essentials you hope for, at affordable prices. It is right next to the train station, making it a perfect getaway for an excellent lunch or dinner.
The cafe was a stroll from Emma's Guesthouse where we were staying and was clean and simple with lovely indoor and outdoor space. We only had breakfast but it was perfect for our needs - fresh juice, bread, jam etc. Thank you so much! You are more than welkome back :-)

This place is the very definition of a pub! The interior is small, crowded and a bit gloomy, but the place spills out onto a terrace with water views, shared tables and a friendly atmosphere... I gave it an extra star just for the outdoor ambience! The menu is mainly burgers any way you want, but also some smaller plates to share while you have a drink and socialise.Thank you so much for your review! We greatly appreciate your feedback :)
I desember 2018 Ã¥pnet Sebastián i Sandvika. Restauranten ligger i et koselig lokale â beliggende langs elvepromenaden, med solrikt uteomrÃ¥de. Sebastian er en nabolagsrestaurant med avslappet atmosfære, der du kan nyte mat inspirert fra hele verden og et t

I don't ordinarily like or review chain restaurants, but this was our host's choice, and it was a good one. It reminds you of any one of a thousand popular family chains in the US, with its carefully planned eclectic look. But that isn't necessarily bad. This restaurant is a little loud, but we had no problem with comfortable conversation with a rarely seen relative. The food was very good, service was very good, and prices were reasonable.

What a fantastic place! Great service and really wonderful food. Really. I did not have my hopes up too high because I am biased about Sandvika, but this was really a great surprise. Super service and rare ingredients made for an experience I would like to repeat again very soon!!

Norway's oldest restaurant, built in 1640. Vaertshuset is a classic and timeless place, a real guest house with real commitment. Norwegian gourmet menu. The old barn has been renovated and can be booked for private dinners for up to 50 persons.
We celebrated my wifeâs birthday at Vaertshuset Baerums Verk, for the first time in many years. If possible, it was even better than the last time! The place is very rustic, it claims to be the oldest eating place in Norway. Itâs a beautiful old building, filled with priceless antiques from daily life in this part of Norway. The food is very sophisticated and elegant, apart from also tasting excellent. The wine list is very impressive and should satisfy the most eager wine-buff.The staff is very friendly and helpful.A perfect setting for a very special birthday. But a little warning: Itâs very expensive (but worth the money!).If you have the opportunity, do go! But I recommend that you order a table in advance.tusen takk for en hyggelig tilbakemelding og velkommen igjen.

With us you will always be served fresh dishes based on the seasonal ingredients that are of course inspired by the international cuisine. We offer meat dishes such as lamb shank, spare ribs, varied chicken dishes and sea delicacies such as butter-fried c
Very quiet place, almost in the city centre. There were no signs of any beers, so we ordered wine, which was quite good. Service was very professional. No small talk, just perfect timing. A good place to be if you need half an hour in peace and relative quiet surroundings.
