Reviews on European food in Samos, Northeast Aegean Islands, Greece. Samos (/ˈseɪmɒs, ˈsæmoʊs/; Greek: Σάμος) is a Greek island in the eastern Aegean Sea, south of Chios, north of Patmos and the Dodecanese, and off the coast of Asia Minor, from which it is separated by the 1.6-kilometre (1.0 mi)-wide Mycale Strait. It is also a separate regional unit of the North Aegean region, and the only municipality of the regional unit.

In a alley not far from the harbor this garden restaurant named Aphrodite. The starter's like Tomato ball's are so tasteful and good even as the Hunted Mushrooms (so delicious!).The Veal in a ceramic pot with herbs, potato's and vegetables is great. The real Greek salad with feta, awesome! So we recommend this atmospheric restaurant absolutely.

Fantastic menu, with some very nice and special dishes, great vines and and a great wiew, because there is no big boats on this side of the harbour.Keep up the good work, you are doing great....

NOTE: They are open all day into the late evening. After discovering Pergamento in Pythagorio we have returned twice more. The food is very good, the location and ambiance off the main seafront so pleasant and the care that is being shown by the family owners all combine to make a pleasurable stop. It is a pleasure to find a cafe where so much love and pride of place is demonstrated. And I highly recommend the Pergamento Sour constructed by Stellios, the seafood risotto and the avocado salad. All these along with the surroundings bring us back. And if you are looking for a boutique you should visit the sisters at 2 The Little Store on the main avenue. Again a place with love of Greece and wanting to provide a satisfying experience.

Eating in Greece is good. Eating on Samos is better. Since Four Seasons in Pythagoreio covers both of those you might guess we enjoyed eating there.Four Seasons is on the waterfront, as are many of the restaurants in Pythagoreio. Since nearly every restaurant there is outdoor seating, as it is cooler outside, if you are along the waterfront it would is cooler. Besides the water view there are so many people walking along the waterfront all the time so if nothing else free entertainment with people watching. Some of the restaurants are completely covered, in case it rains or is too hot from the sun, and some are partly covered. four Seasons is partly covered and has a section that can be extended to cover a greater area. The menu is right out in front so you can view it before committing to eating there. Someone will probably ask if they can seat you or help you, but not in a pushy manner. All of the tables have a view but of course the ones toward the rear are partly blocked by other tables and people. It is usually warmer toward the rear as well. The menu has a wide variety of starters and entrees to choose from and everything we ordered was very good. Exception for all the restaurants : depending upon the season that you are there remember that fresh true lamb is only available for a short time of the year. So if lamb is out of season it might be a bit tough. There is a good variety of alcoholic drinks available also at decent prices. We tend to order Greek dishes as we enjoy them so much. We talked to some other people while dining there and they all enjoyed the pizza at Four Seasons.Desert comes with the meal and varies as to what they have made for the day. We were never disappointed.Prices do not vary that much from one waterfront restaurant to another for similar dishes. Most Europeans eat later so bear this in mind as it can get quite crowded during certain times. There is never a rush to finish your meal in Greece. Relax and enjoy.

We went twice to the Kampos Grill. The first visit was at nighttime and we ordered a few Mezes and some beef- and lamb-souvlaki-plates - which were good but in our opinion just a little overpriced. Due to some ordering recommendations from locals we still gave it another shot - returning for a small lunch consisting of three delicious (!!) pita gyros sandwhiches and a fresh, very tasty salad - everything pitch-perfectly prepared and at a much more moderate price. It's never too late to change opinion - hence, we can now we can only chime in the chorus of praise for this small, lovely place in the lush shadow beneath a tree. We will definitely be back a third time for the spectacular pork ribs that the very sympathetic owner recommended. Rest of the crew was very friendly, too!

Holiday, 3 elderly ladies from Finland, good friends of Greek food: In Restaurant Kamara we got delicious food in a very friendly atmosphere and we got quick & efficient service. We ate there few times and after visiting some other restaurants (which proved to be at best very average), we came back to Kamara also on the last 2 nights of our holiday....just to be sure that we get something good to eat. And so we did. Thank you guys!

I'd heard good things about Orizontas from friends who are from Samos, and was not disappointed: the menu offers some very creative dishes (the beetroot millefeuille was scrumptious) and the view is superb. Coupled with the modern and airy ambiance, and the friendly service, this is a restaurant that I would highly recommend - it is certainly worth the drive up to Platanos.
