Reviews on European food in Saintes-Maries-de-la-Mer, Provence-Alpes-Cote d'Azur, France. This beautiful fishing town on the Mediterranean Sea glimmers with sunshine and charm—so much so that Vincent van Gogh captured the streets and seascape of Saintes-Marie-de-la-Mer. In between lunching and shopping, visit the monolithic Church of Three Saints, a stone Romanesque church that was built in the 12th century. That, plus museums and bullfight arenas, will stimulate your cultural yens. Savor fresh fish and plump shellfish at any one of Sainte-Marie-de-la-Mer’s exquisite cafes and restaurants.

Parking in the free public car-park just round the corner. Small, need to reserve, much liked by the locals, fairly attentive service. The yachties also like it!Good food and wine.

5 of us plus a baby quite some stress to find a decent place to eat at lunch in this super touristy town. Our favourite restaurant being close we ended up searching for an alternative. We chose this one as they had a table and the menu looked simple and tasty. Well that was a happy choice. Lovely small terrace under a tree, no cars around. Good service (not so frequent in south of France) and the food simple and delicious, They make cocktails as well the best Cuba Libre I ever tasted... We had mussels, cod, local specialities all very good and reasonably priced

The location is beautiful and we had a lovely view of the sunset. Of course, it's on a secluded (at least when we were there) beach, so it doesn't get a whole lot better. There is indoor seating as well as outdoor seating. Our server was very nice and although she spoke very little English, she was quite patient considering we are unable to communicate in her language (French, of course). The fries were very good, the seafood was very fresh and delicious. For us, this is our #1 restaurant of choice in Saintes-Maries-de-la-Mer. It's a bit out of town (5 or 10 min), so you need a car, but there is plenty of parking. Bonus: The chef came out to say hello and make sure everything was delicious. It is on the pricy side for the area, but that's fine if I love the meal, which I did.Bonjour, Merci pour avoir pris le temps de déposer un commentaire.A bientôt au Farniente,La direction

I rate this 4 for the overall feel, since the servers were kind and helpful and the location is beautiful. Some of the dishes can definitely improve. I recommend 9 cocette, the tuna and the pork cheek. The 1000 feuille can be improved with fresh vegetables instead of frozen (if they were fresh, they were very soggy) otherwise the tapenade was very good. All desserts can be more tasty. The limoncello ice cream was the only "really good" dessert. If all others are bought frozen, I'd recommended you stick to ice cream selection for desserts.

Came across this restaurant on our first evening in Saintes-Maries-de-la-Mer and had a great evening! Food was delicious and portions generous, I had the bull (taureau). Next time I will try one of their big salads which also looked amazing! Strongly recommend La Cour, great atmosphere, tasty food and succulent wine!!

Opened every evening. Small and unusual restaurant, specialized in grilled bull and local meats, tapas, bone marrow, italiano & iberico antipasti, vegetable gratins,... all home made prepared at the minute. Good wine and famous music... No strollers, no a
-Location: 3/5 (in the town center, along Saintes-Maries-de-la-Mer main pedestrian street)-Menu: 4/5 (possibility to taste some food sourced from Spain, e.g. ham and bull)-Service: 2/5 (terribly slow and disorganised)-Price quality: 2/5 (high prices compared to quality and above all service)We ordered Spanish ham and bone marrow as appetiser, and bull steak as main course. We ended up with a tarte tartin. Average quality food, below average preparation. Slow and disorganised service

Really good, straightforward food. Friendly waitress and Patron.Nicely located away from the bustle of the main drag.We had the Plat du jour which was sea bass with black rice and veg, and sieches a la plancha, which were very garlicky but very delicious!Thoroughly recommended

We went there for lunch without a reservation and had a salad, galettes for main course, and crepes for desert, with a bottle of cider of course. This was served rapidly by an efficient and friendly staff, prepared by a master Chef. Though not very typical of les Saintes, the meal was very palatable, and the crepe Tatin really crowned it, very inventive and delicious, for a reasonnable price. We will certainly return, as we have taken up the habit to visit les Saintes for the annual horse festivities.

We hadnât made any reservation but arrived quite early for lunch, and it was no problem finding a table. We shared a âPlanche Bohèmeâ (â¬26), a platter with cold cut meat, sun dried tomatoes, a small salad and bread. It was supposed to include manchego cheese too, which we remembered a short while after receiving the platter. We asked the waitress about the cheese, she apologized for having forgotten it and shortly brought a plate of cheese for us. It was all quite tasty, but we found it quite expensive considering the amount of food we got.We thank you for your comment, but we want to clarify some things : our dishes are thought for 1 person, but you choose it for 2 people ... the delicatessen served is a premium Iberian charcuterie (pata negra bellota) which does not have the price of a basic ham, our concept is simplicity, but quality, If you want to eat a lot of food ( not specially tasty ) for low prices, you can find places in Saintes Maries de la Mer,Finally, you tasted a dish for 1 person at 2 people for 13 ⬠per person! ... for premium products, in a cosy place, the price is not so high!
