We ate at LâAtelier twice this week and each and every course was delicious. The experience was made even more memorable by Johanna, who was friendly, charming and a passionate advocate for local products and merchants. Great food (and great value for money) made even better thanks to Johanna.

We had eaten here once before. It was a dinner before a nearby entertainment performance and the food was as good as reviews had said it would be but we were somewhat rushed to the point of not fully appreciating just how good Hansiâs was.So, after my wifeâs massage, I suggested that we take lunch here and we are really glad that we did. We were not in a rush and the place was full. It was a Wednesday and it seemed as though many of the patrons knew Hansi; so, this was not a touristy place. Both my wife and I order the luncheon menu without the dessert. I started with a unique salad chevre chaudâthe goat cheese was not on a piece of toast but enmeshed in a pastry similar to filo dough. The tiny diced cucumbers and carrots and (I think) bacon with the herbs were very special. My wife started with a grave lox dish which was not so unique but very good.My wife ordered a main course of cod well dressed and tasty while I ate the moules farcies which was terrific. We shared a half liter of house rosé and a liter of San Pelligrino and paid just under 50 euros. The service was extraordinary since Hansi, one waitress, and â perhaps â two cooks under Hansiâs close supervision served a full restaurant.

Big smiles and lots of welcoming warmth from the lady in charge of the dining room. A smallish menu but judging by everything going on in the open kitchen, the food is consistently excellent. Not an intimate environment, this place non the less creates a certain vibe that is âlocalâ and informal...Thank you very much, we are delighted to know that you had a good time !

Valros is a peaceful village sitting on the old road between the towns of Pezenas and Beziers. At the western edge of Pezenas there is a roundabout presenting travellers with the choice of taking the A75 highway quickly and, without any distraction, directly to Beziers and beyond. My advice is take the old road instead; take your time, pass through Valros and stop at the Auberge de la Tour for lunch or dinner or even for a night or two.Valros itself nestles in the heart of Herault's wine country and is surrounded by gently rolling countryside that is absolutely covered in vineyards and illuminated by the most beautiful Mediterranean summer light. Nothing in the landscape has changed for centuries and there is a medieval fortification located on a hill behind the village, lending its vaunted history to the area. It also gives its name to the Auberge. The restaurant is excellent in every way. The room is spacious and filled with natural light during the day. The staff offer perfect, discreet service and the menu offers a range of dishes that should suit almost everyone. The food on offer is frankly outstanding, very reasonably priced and I believe that there is very little possibility of anyone leaving, after a meal, feeling anything less than very happy indeed. My wife and I did not stay at the Auberge but I can tell you that behind the restaurant there is an extremely pleasant terrace, a very adequate swimming pool and a general ambiance of peaceful friendliness that easily compliments our experience in the restaurant. I cannot imagine that the rooms are anything but entirely in keeping with the rest of Auberge's high level of service. So, my meaasge is, do not rush to take the highway out of Pezenas. Relax and enjoy a wonderful time at the Auberge de la Tour in Valros.

We've eaten at L'Asparagus several times and you always come away from there having had both an excellent meal and great service. Outdoors is a lovely setting, if it is too windy then the interior restaurant is very pleasant too. The service is first class, from the minute you sit down until the minute you leave. The main courses are served with an extensive array of delicious vegetables, after you've finished your meal you can visit their well stocked shop.

We ate here on a Thursday night. We all had pizzas (vegetarian, 5 cheeses, seafood and spicy chicken) which were nicely cooked. The dough was really good, thin underneath but a bit chewy on the crust. The waitress was lovely, patient while we dithered and nothing was too much trouble. It's a small place, you sit on benches and tables by the road, quite charming and enjoyable. We drank some of the local rose wine which was light and fruity - and one person had a cocktail which was supposed to have a prosecco base but wasn't fizzy! It was an enjoyable experience and I'd go back.

First found this restaurant years ago on the recommendation of Fiona Beckett , the guardian's wine columnist. Have been every year since then. Amazing food at reasonable prices. Wine at the price of adjacent cave cooperative. The Syrian rose is amazing.

We have a holiday home in Florensac, and as we always like to try to support local, we thought we'd try La Table de Florensac, with its new chef and owners. What a lovely surprise. The owners/chef gave us a very warm welcome, the menu was creative (the foie gras with coffee was a wonderful combination), dishes were beautifully presented, and of a high standard. We are so pleased to have such a place in our town.

We have been coming to this restaurant for years. Diane and Jose have made us feel part of the family. The food is delicious. Tasty meats grilled on an open fire, fish prepared to perfection, best frites and gratin anywhere. During our 2 week stay in Bessan, our group ranged from 8 to 12 people, we ate there 4 times, and each meal is a delight. Outside on the beautiful terrace or inside the cozy restaurant, we have always enjoyed a terrific meal. Merci Diane and Joe!!
