The restaurant is opened every lunchtime except Sunday. The Chef proposes you a menu à la carte but especially its speciality: foot of veal with the Mustard sauce. You will also have the choice between several today's specials: - dish in sauce, meat grill
We first visited this place for pizza late one night on our way home from the beach and the pizza was superb - wafer thin, heavily loaded, and very subtly seasoned. A real delight and reasonably priced. We returned for their lunch menu (not realising pizza is not available on the lunch menu) and suffered the usual array of peasant food that most places in this region seem to imagine is acceptable for tourists. So stick to the evenings and you'll have a very pleasant experience.

Called in here as in October several of the recommended eateries were closed on a Saturday. The greeting was typically french slightly surly as was the service throughout. Table they took us to was next to kitchen doors so not good. Food was OK. Therefore somewhat mixed thoughts about this place.

This restaurant serves good, local French food using local products. There are set menus as well as a la carte and excellent sea food options. Good ambience and nice service. Portbail itself is charming and worth the visit. We went more than once it was so good and would return if ever in the area again.

We stopped during a road trip for a quick dinner. The salmon galette was delicious but the chocolate caramel crepe was out of this world. The service was super and our limited French was not a liability. This is a beautiful town to visit.

We tried this place on spec having just arrived from Calais. The place was friendly, plenty of locals. The meat and fish were cooked on a wood fire. Very simple but tasty, served with thin chips and a lettuce salad with a tasty dressing. My wife and our friend had Tarte au Citroën. They both said it was very good. Fairly cheap for 3 meals play de jour 12.50 euros 55 euros including drinks and coffee.

A very French restaurant with a pasta theme although I had an entrecôte steak. Friendly service. Opens evening for about two hours. Difficult to find without satnav and even then itâs not well illuminated. Itâs near to a humped bridge over the Cherbourg to Paris railway.

english-speaking francoise put the gloss on this simple, but tasty meal: a seafood "stew" for me and a galette for my wife. this is not pretentious restaurant, just a village eatery, but none the worse for that. will eat here again if in the area.

On the Contentin peninsula, within driving distance of the Normandy beaches and several ancient castles. There is also a hotel connected with the restaurant. The English translation is "Old Castle Inn," and it lives up to its name----there is an old cas
We arrived at 0850 - just in time for dinner. I noticed a few flies but didn't take much notice. We ate an average meal of 3 courses. Went to the room it had a balcony which look nice with a view of the castle. Then went to bed! It was the worst bed I have ever stayed in. The shower cubicle was discusting around the edges. In the morning we went to pay and there were so many flies around the reception it made me feel sick. My husband was then ill for 5 days with a bad stomach. Don't bother with this hotel, the reviews are not true.Nous sommes désolés que vous ayez vécu une mauvaise expérience dans notre établissement.
