For a truly authentic Paris dinner this is the place to go. A local restaurant near our friends apartments, but right next to a Metro station so easy to get to from the centre of Paris. Very busy, so you must book in advance. A wide selection of food and wine. I had the most amazing bone marrow starter and then the slow cooked lamb shank. Great wines, great atmosphere and great prices. Well worth taking the metro to get a real sense of the real Paris. A wonderful evening.

Wife researched this place before our trip, decided to go in the evening and took the metro from our Hotel In Montparnasse area (took 40 mins) but was well worth the visit. Very nice lady serving, chatty and helpful and friendly which made a difference. We enjoyed savoury and sweet crepes together with beer and cocktails.Recommend as itâs different and tasty!

We arrived at this restaurant without a reservation (in a quiet residential area) and there was no problem seating out group of 4. The staff were very efficient and friendly and nothing seemed to much trouble. The surroundings are tastefully decorated and the food is outstanding without being over priced. Testimony to this, is the fact that the restaurant was almost full when we left.I would recommend the steak, I can't honestly remember the last time I had one that good..... It was like cutting butter!Cannot recommend highly enough.

Place to eat, drink and speak
My husband and I came here for dinner during a recent visit to Paris and could not have been happier with our visit. We booked a table for 8pm and were seated straight away by the really friendly waiter (didnât catch his name but was great!). Our French isnât great but this was no problem as he was happy to speak to us in English and spoke it very well. The food was superb, couldnât fault it at all. The portion sizes were good and the quality was brilliant. We had duck and salmon for mains, both perfectly cooked. For dessert we had tart tatin and panacotta, both were very good.Service was excellent throughout the meal even though the restaurant was busy. Booking is essential as the restaurant is only small but very popular, we saw people who turned up hoping to get a table who couldnât and it was only a Tuesday night! Overall our visit here was fantastic! It was a meal we will talk about for years to come and I really hope we get the chance to come back in future. Thanks for a great night! thank you for this beautiful review. It was a pleasureMy name is Nathan ^^. I hope you will come back

Tante Eugenie stands just behind the mirror. Has she inspired the traditional but elegant home-style cooking of this restaurant around the corner ? Anyway there was creativity in the simple meals we chose, well guided and quickly served by competent and nice Tante Eugenie team. Marinated salmon with potatoes, Caesar salad, plank steak and veal back steak. A drop of lemon and oil here, subtle vinaigrette or shallot clove there, thyme in the mash potatoes moreover. We took a bottle of Touraine from the well thought out and balanced short wine list. And concluded with a light bill and smiles of the staff. Quality and harmony.

Our restaurant is open from monday to sunday for lunch and dîner. We are located on Daumesnil avenue between two stations "métro Daumesnil" and "métro Michel Bizot". We are looking for your visit. The 217 team
Being in France, we wanted to eat something French, so a bit of research and a 15 minute walk took us to Le217 Brasserie, so named because it was located at number 217 on the Avenue Daumesnil. It was *very* French, so much so that the manager and waiters spoke very little English. That was fine though and there was no mistaking the warmth of their welcome or service. We arrived bang-on opening time but it soon filled up, which is always a good sign. In for a cent, in for a Euro with the food choices. We shared a starter of snails, which were beautifully cooked in garlic and herbs, but somewhat difficult for amateurs like us to extract from their shells. Clare had a fantastic bruschetta topped with ham and mushrooms for her main, while I went full-on French and had the steak tartare, resplendent with raw egg yolk and a side of chunky chips. Alongside this we enjoyed a carafe of a fantastic Beaujolais. For dessert Clare had the cafe gourmand - a coffee served with three mini-desserts (each of which were excellent). I went for an ice-cream which was also very enjoyable. For a great, traditional French meal a bit off the beaten track, Le217 is well worth the visit.

We had dinner here with some friends. The amuse-bouches where very tasty, it include some small warm snacks and some creamy mini-dish with shrimps. (Sorry, I don't know how these were all called). The owner herself was handling our table and it was very "sympa" (how the French calls it) to chat with her. The place itself was recommended by friends living nearby. Apparently, they redid the place and it's interior looks quite modern. The food itself was very good, not the best I've had in and around Paris, but the standard can be quite high. They don't have any kids meals, but they adapt depending on what the kid likes. For the 3 year old boy of my friends, they brought a nice beef filet steak with vegetables, charging 10 EUR. It's a nice and calm restaurant to spend an evening with friends, having a good meal and enjoying yourselfs

We were staying in charenton-le-Pont instead of main Paris in September 2013. The three of us came here for dinner one evening. Friendly staff welcomed and sat us. We each had the plat and dessert special. I had the salmon which I see is no longer on the menu. It was very good. Also, I had the pear tarte instead of tarte tatin for a change. Pears were very juicy and pastry was very tasty too. Good service urging our meal. Very nice restaurant to dine at. Reasonable prices. Enjoyed our dining experience thoroughly.

Based on reviews tried out this place. The fish soup was excellent best I have had in years. Followed by the fish selection that had been cooked in the soup, white fish, scallop, mussels and lobster. Nice glass of Chablis went well. Floating islands and coffee followed. Well looked after by the owner and staff. Had been met with a sparkling aperitif and was surprised to find wine and coffee was free on the bill also. Will be coming back, thanks.

I ate here with one of my friends on a Saturday night and we had an absolutely amazing meal. It was orgasmically good. The wine recommendations were great and really went with the dishes we chose. My duck with pear was one of the best meals I've had for ages and it was nice to have a meal not served with chips but with real potatoes roasted in garlic. If you are in the area you must go to this small but amazing place.
