We though we would eat here as it had a great view of the beach. it's probably the only reason to go there. The food was borderline disgraceful. The only thing about the pizza resembled a pizza was the shape. Was a soggy paste, tasteless cheese and there was some red stuff that I suppose was tomato paste. The potato fries were eatable. At least the drinks were fine. The staff were so disinterested, i don't understand why they were there. I don't normally give bad reviews but this was terrible, I would give it a miss unless you would like to make a donation for the view.

Had a great meal. The best on our 6wk trip around France. All dishes were superb. For us, they achieved that rare thing in so many upmarket French restaurants, informality & professionalism. Allowing us to practice our poor French speaking !Sent an email to book. All good. Definitely worth a detour.PartDear gmbklm,Thank you so much for taking the time to post a review on Tripadvisor, We will forward it to our Chef who will be delighted to hear that it was your best meal after touring France for 6 weeks, it will make his day! we hope to welcome you again and next time do not hesitate to try our bistro restaurant "Le petit jardin" located in the converted orangerie. My wife and I went here with my mother in law and brother in law for dinner. No reservation required. Being a fishing village we all had seafood. In short-amazing! From mussels, to periwinkles, shrimp, escargot, crawfish, langostinos.....never had anything like it. The Camembert sauce for the mussels was heavenly. 2 bottles of wine and fantastic service. All for less than 140 euros. Canât praise it highly enough. Absolutely recommend.

Our Omaha Beach tour group of about 16 people stopped here for a prearranged lunch. We had preordered our meals when we booked the tour (Bayeaux Tours - outstanding!), with a choice of chicken or fish. The chicken and au gratin potatoes were very good, as was the service. All the workers spoke a little English, and that, combined with the writer's 20 words of French, was more than enough for the purpose.Of course, the highlight is the stunning views of Omaha Beach. It almost seems wrong to sit there and enjoy lunch against a backdrop where so many brave people perished.Strongly recommended; this is the place for lunch when you're visiting Omaha and associated sites.

This restaurant is on the main road, but please donât let that fact put you off from eating here. The food is delicious. Beautifully presented, exquisite taste, and certainly worth every euro spent. The Oysters, and whelks were just divine; the desserts were heavenly and all served with smiles. We went twice in 4 days, and it was packed, with local French, which is always a good sign. You must book otherwise you will not get a table. We will certainly return.

Hospitality exceptional from walking in through the front door. Very friendly home feeling, despite being only a 20ish cover restaurant. We had a starter and main course - no room for a pudding. Half a bottle of wine and a house cocktail came to just over E50. Well worth a visit - you won't go home hungry from here.Ample car parking on the the Market Square. Going again tomorrow!

We had lunch here with our tour guide, Dale Booth, and it was fine with a broad selection. The restaurant was quite crowded but service was excellent and we were served fairly quickly. Honestly, I don't remember what we had but the food was tasty and there were no complaints. Worth making a reservation if you are going during a busy season - we might not have gotten in without one.

L'Omaha Restaurant is conveniently located in the center of Omaha Beach, between the American Cemetery and the Pointe du Hoc. Covered terrace, sea view, garden. Fish, grilled meat etc ..., brasserie, snack. Shop: books, calvados, Pommeau etc ... Non stop
We stayed just down the road and this place was heaving every lunch time with big queues waiting to get in!We went one evening and it was not too busy and the food and service was very good, and it was reasonably priced. If you go in the evening go early as they were refusing people after about 8.15 as they close for food at 9ish?Well worth a try

this is a B&B also, but a shame not to list the restaurant on its own as it si excellent!
Our tour guide recommended this place to us and we were glad she did. Situated just behind Omaha beach it could be easily missed. Classic French farmhouse style eatery with simple, well sourced and well cooked food. Staff we friendly and service was efficient. It must be a good place to eat as Monacan royalty dined at the same time as us, that said I'm expecting to see a review from Prince Albert mentioning he saw four blokes from Southampton on this site soon!
