While staying with friends in Archamps we visited this delightful restaurant last evening. We hadn't booked a table and although nothing was immediately available we were made to feel really welcome and a table was vacated very quickly. In the meantime we were offered aperitif and nibbles. The staff were really helpful and friendly and the food beautifully presented and absolutely delicious.

We went for a dinner. This is a Michelin star restaurant. Though the prices are on higher side, itâs worth every penny spent. Everything from the appetisers to entree and dessert are cooked to perfection. The food is accompanied by a great selection of wines. Tried baby squids and lobster tail. Both were flavourful and delicious. Thank you a lot for your visit and your very nice comment. We are glad that you enjoyed spending time at our restaurant. Our menu changes every five weeks so that we always work with fresh and local products. We will be pleased to welcome you again soon.Stéphane

The welcoming was nice and warm. The place is very nice though a bit of "refreshing" wouldn't hurt the cosy ambiance.Dishes were excellent: tasty and well presented. Only the rhabarb tarte was naff and kind of industrial... nothing particular really. Strange that tartes are not protected by a "cloche" right after the entrance. Some of them looked really yummy... not the one I choosed unfortunately. The service was very good all along the dinner, unfortunately, at the end, the waiter was kind of missing and we couldn't order or ask for our bill as we wished.Petit bemol for the smokers "parked" outside the main entrance, obliging the comers and goers to go through the smoke cloud. Same situation with the waiter going to the backyard for a smoke coming into the restaurant with all the smoke behind them.

We were taken here by a Swiss friend who appreciates good food and wine. The restaurant was very busy on a Tuesday lunch time, but the waitress took great care to make sure that we understood the menu as neither my husband nor I understand French. The choices we made were truly delicious and beautifully served.Eating here was much cheaper than in Geneva itself, but the quality was excellent.

On the face of it this should have been a great choice for a Swiss style meal. The food was quite good - once you understood how to heat and eat the cheese. However the whole place was swarming with flies which severely impacted on our enjoyment and was extremely off putting. We took it in turns to alternative between eating and swatting. Not a nice experience and we couldn't wait to leave. Care menu only in French so if like us your are Brits abroad bring your phrase book to help understand what's on offer.

'Les Curiades' vous offre un accueil et une ambiance chaleureuse. La carte et les menus vous montrent la qualite de la production de la region genevoise, en ajoutant l'inspiration creative du chef et des influences d'ici et d'ailleurs.
It is sometimes hard to meet expectations when one has such excellent memories of previous visits. So after our kir royal we were slightly taken aback when (1) the salad then came as part of the menu d'été was rather insignificant and wilted; (2) the waiter forgot to bring the bread with the starter (for which he later on profusely apologised) and (3) the amuse gueule announced for the menus apparently did not apply to à la carte meals.I found my starter (gaspacho with focaccio and goat cheese - see picture) slightly farfetched but the combination of the goatcheese with the gaspacho was good. From then on things looked up and all was forgiven, because the main dishes were glorious: the small octopus a la plancha on a bed of saffron risotto with artichoke bottoms mixed in, as well as the freshly made steak tartare. I had a little advokaat in between (a Dutch/Belgian alcoholic delicacy) and then dessert managed to keep up the standards with my galette with almond cream and poached Valais apricot with delicate icecream. So we left happy with the intention to return soon.Dear robert_bos53First of all, I would like to thank you for taking the time to write this review following your dinner at restaurant âLes CuriadesâThe comments of our guests are extremely helpful to improve our services: we used to attach great importance to it.Thatâs why I would like to present you my apologies if we missed some of your expectations in the beginning of your menu But we are more than happy to read that we have been able to meet your expectations at the end!!Hope to see you soon in our restaurantYours sincerely,Pascal Cloetens

This is a very old restaurant in the Geneva area that has its regulars and aficionados, and there are very good reasons for this. First the food is good, not reaching stellar levels but of really superior quality, mixing some classicals (from perch filets, to tartare) to somewhat more sophisticated products (like lobster), so everybody can find something to its taste. Second its unpretentious: the service is professional and efficient, the protocol is followed but there absolutely nothing snobbish there, quite the contrary, simple and somewhat familiar. Third the prices are quite reasonable for what you get. So no surprise it's a pleasure returning "Chez Livron". Now, why not 5 stars in that case? Just because the desserts are really not up to the level off the rest of the menu... the place probably misses a pastry chef (?), so you've got to choose between ice cream with fruits or fruits with ice-cream... some of them have nice presentations but still a very limited choice and not all of the options are convincing.

My nephew who lives in Geneva brought us here and I'm glad he did. This is the first time I've ever been to "cook your own meat" kind of restaurant, but I truly enjoyed the experience. The meat selection consisted of Aged Ribeye, Shrimp and Chicken. The aged ribeye steak was particularly good. We all had a great time grilling and tasting the various sauces brought to us. The service was very attentive and friendly. This is definitely one of the most memorable meals in Geneva.

1st time I have felt compelled to write a review probably suggests the disappointment in the meal I had at Vicolo yesterday (that and the title of the review). Setting nice, staff friendly, starters pleasant, steak awful. Meat was tough, stale and not enjoyable. I was offered a pasta dish as an alternative, which I declined, Amazed to find that steak was charged on the bill although coffee was comped. Waiter did advise 'off the record' that he had tried the steak and understood why it had been returned to the kitchen.I'm the waiter who served this costumer and i would like to reply this coment. I said to him that the meat come from the best butchery of Geneva ( boucherie de Molard). I also told to him that the Chef said me "the meet was good".The same evening we served the same meat to other customers and they told us that the meat was perfect. That reason we charged on the bill, because the meet was in good conditions as usually. Maybe this is a matter of tastes as I said to him. It is a subjective matter. I'm also can to say that maybe the customer didn't understand me because I'm not a native english.
