sometimes you just get lucky and you come across a restaurant by chance, which ends up to give you a wonderful experience. the food was just great, prices of the wines were very reasonable and since I couldn't choose between desserts, I ordered two, which were both amazing.

This is a very pleasant place that takes itself seriously and does everything right - except serve memorable food. It was very odd - dish after dish arrived looking exactly like the real thing (including a whole roast chicken with a carving knife stuck promisingly in its perfect golden breast) only to fail to deliver in the mouth. That chicken, for example, was dull and bland. The place is busy, so it must be doing something right - but not for us that lunchtime.

Due to a detour, we ended up in l 'Alzon. It was late for lunch, the place was loaded, but an extra table was arranged and we took the menu of the day and a good local red. Everything worked out well, good food, nice staff.

Hello the restaurant is opened for lunch and diner the 30 of april, the 1st of may and the 7, 8 and 21 of may. Letâs call us! See you !
Iâve reviewed restaurants for Trip Advisor for decades, and always try to present the best attributes of a restaurant before the worst, and balance the service with the cost etc. We were excited to eat here, having seen how well ranked it was in Trip Advisor. But this was our experience: Service-this was mixed, a nice young man who spoke good English was very attentive, then a very assertive woman presented herself who explained the menu (which was helpful) but also simultaneously berating the waiter.....it was a bit amateur to put it politely. Starters were ok, foie gras and terrine, We complained about our mains, the chicken dish was very dry and tasteless, my curry was watery, lacking depth of flavour and over cooked rice and broccoli, which was soggy. The chef emerged and apologised so profusely it was almost embarrassing. The deserts were equally unspectacular. I must say we were quite shocked being served such badly executed food in France, in fact, after decades of travel in France this was a first for us. I could not recommend this place to anyone unfortunately, and will not be returning. Yes I apologized a lot because you were so heavy from the beginning to the end. Good luck to the other restaurants you will visit

From the greeting to the surprisingly good value for money I cannot fault a thing. Lovely setting serving delicious, fresh, modern cuisine. They also have a good simple childrenâs menu understanding that kids like simple flavours. Excellent.

OK, I'm maybe biased because I live in Sauve, but the 'Troquet' is a regular weekend meeting place for myself and friends. The menu changes all the time, but there is always a substantial meat dish, vegetarian items and tapas type choices. The young owners seem to conjure up a special atmosphere, with art exhibitions and concerts in the spacious back room. In Summer the terrace is always full, so get there early to ensure a place. You might see some of Sauve's many musicians, including myself, having an impromptu session in the open air. Many of the players are pros. Credit cards aren't accepted. Something for every taste and budget.

Très bien de manger en terrasse mais pensez à réserver attention les pizzas sont difficiles à finir tellement elles sont imposantes, le bagel pas mal non plus. On garde lâadresse en mémoire.

Stumbled across the Restaurant by accident. It's has a a really nice al fresco dining area, with the Pizza Oven on full display. Excellent, attentive service and a nice modern vibe with mellow tunes in the background. We ordered a platter of Charcuterie which was excellent and the whole family enjoyed. For main course we ordered all ordered Pizza, which sadly was not to our taste. Firstly there was a significant wait between the kids arriving and 10 minutes later our own. I know the Pizza in Southern France can have its own characteristics, however the base was not fully cooked and tasted doughy.Despite this we will go back, if only to choose the Entrecôte or Cote De Boeuf steak next which did look excellent at other tables. The Pizza sadly was distinctly average, everything else was very good.

Restaurants like this are getting harder to find in France in my opinion. They serve a great value fixed menu at lunch Mon to Wed (if I remember rightly), no choice of starter or main but a choice of pudding and 25cl of wine included. Our meal was delicious, the service was friendly and helpful. We ate on the shady terrace which was delightful. We returned and ate again another day and it was equally good. Super!
