Patrick Bermand presents all the trappings of a deluxe meal- a warm atmosphere, nice table cloths, soft lighting, etc.The food is good, yet was not particularly notable. My party had steaks. My medium-rare filet came out well-done. It was still better than some steaks I have had, yet for the money, it should have been at least around medium-rare. The French onion soup was good, yet had a bit too much of a wine reduction (or a wine flavour) to it.Service was reasonably good, though not great, when it came to the service of the food, yet a bit clueless with the drinks. When I asked for a cocktail menu, I was told there was not one, but assured they could make anything. When I asked for a Relatively familiar cocktail I was asked to describe what was in it. So I passed on that and ordered a gin martini (wasnât asked how I wanted it) that was lukewarm with olives (instead of the twist I would have preferred.)The wine list was also a let down. The 6-7 US wine offerings by bottle were all Pinot Noir except for two Cab Sauvs. One of these was under 50$ a bottle, while the other one was 249$ a bottle. I guess they didnât want to serve wine from the US? Maybe.Patrick Bermand is definitely better than the average chain place in the village that serves reheated food and turns over staff every month. That said, for the money, it is not the best fine dining experience.

We went for lunch. Pleasant atmosphere, menu selection not exhaustive, rather bland but copious. I wouldn't rate this as a gourmet experience. They have an interesting concept. You can play all sorts of different table games hence the word ludique. Personally not into that but a lot of people might be. I do believe their evening dinner selection is much better than the one on offer at lunch. I would still recommend it. There aren't that many good restaurants in Ste. Agathe.

Maison 1890 is a brilliant gem of fine cuisine, great service and a lovely setting. It is exceptionally successful because it is exceptional, every time. On our most recent visit we enjoyed lighter meals (scallops, squid) which were perfect, with some interesting wines. From experience we can recommend any seafood dish, or the rack of lamb, the chops, the fantastic beef, and the salads (a truly great Caesar).

What an incredible experience. With no reservation, we sauntered over and were greeted by a lovely lady who spoke perfect English. We were seated on the porch since it was a spectacular evening. We were not sure what to order and asked the assistance of the lady. She suggested the Prix Fixe. One of us chose the salad as the first course and I chose the vegetable soup. The salad was so beautiful, neither of us wanted to eat it. It was even topped with edible flowers. We chose 2 different entrees -- the salmon (with a maple/mustard sauce that was exquisite) and the beef bourguignon. Now I am a decent cook. But these entrees were heaven on a plate! I didn't even mention how delicious the bread was. The service was very attentive as well. As a "foodie", I absolutely recommend going here. By the way, we had no room for dessert. And when we received the check, we were not at all in shock. The food, presentation, quality, and service were all worth the price.we are always happy when people are satisfied and enjoy the evening in our place thank so much to tell us you make us proud and happythank youlucilethe only think i want to tell it is trip adviser didn't publicate your rewiev on my page . i am so disappointed

In an ancestral, serene and warm frame, we propose you the GRILL-STONE. This concept, unique in the region, consists of a VOLCANIC STONE warmed at high temperature offering an ideal natural surface for a cooking without added fat. The menu proposes a wide
Unique for their âhot stoneâ meals featuring individual trays on which you cook (which seemed like it would be more fun than it was) a variety of meats (sometimes including very exotic choices like kangaroo) seated at your table; served with a selection of vegetables and 3 different flavors of mayonnaise for dipping. Deconstructed french onion soup is average, French bread good. There is also an a la carte menu. A cozy place with attentive, friendly service, free parking; on the main downtown street full of shops and restaurants.Bonjour,Thank you for taking the time to share your experience. You are right, the pierrade is our specialty and as you mention, we offer a wide choice of meat. This concept, without added fat and gluten free, allows to appreciate in the natural state, the quality and the extreme freshness of the selected meats.Best regards,
