First, the previous comments about the owner of this restaurant are 100% correct. He is friendly, welcoming, and treats you as though you are a friend. The restaurant itself really nicely decorated inside.He has some very good wines, the menu has enough variety where most people can find something they will like, and even though the menu is only available in French, he does his best to translate for you. We both had fish (two different kinds) and it was excellent.This is a great choice in Saint Nazaire and we can recommend this restaurant without hesitation.

Had lunch in this seafront restaurant which makes part of a hotel and casino.Nice fresh products, homemade French fries and typical local food.We had the chefs special a hachie Parmentier with salad. Simply delicious.We went in and out in about 30 minutes without having the feeling of rushing.The kitchen is well manned as there were a lot of people in the restaurant and still we were served quickly.Dear Guest,we thank you for your nice comment.We look forward to seeing you again

We arrived with no booking. Staff really helpful and there was copy of the menu in English. Very tasty food well presented and a nice bottle of very reasonably priced wine . Absolutely recommend

First with the good: The location on the beach is great, our starters were really tasty, and the house specialty desert was amazing. The place was packed and the atmosphere good.Now the bad: We waited an hour for our main courses and they apparently spent most of that time under a heat lamp. The "suggestion du jour" was not good value at all. As a matter of fact, it bordered on thievery. The service was extremely sloppy and forgetful. The waitress -- let's call her Mary Jane -- could not remember anything from one minute to the next.

Nice little unpretentious cafe with large selection of crepes but also four selections of plated "viandes" including beef, turkey breast in mushroom sauce, rabbit and my favorite lamb cutlets.At this time of year they also have fresh moules frites (mussels and fries) which I had on my first visit, big bowl, very moist in a white broth. After seeing the lamb cutlets on my first visit that has been my meal of choice on the last two and I was not disappointed. Two / three cutlets, bone in, light and flavorful brown sauce accompanied by frites and side salad. If you pass on the crepes for the entree they have a large selection for dessert, from simple to specials including flambe. They also have ice creams and coffee drinks. Nice, comfortable little place.

We had been driving a long time and just needed a light meal. 16 was recommended by our hotel.Situated on the sea front, we could eat in or out, we chose inside as it was a little late.The waitress was very accommodating and gave us a table at the window.Oysters and baked Moru with an amazing sauce. In the centre of St nazaire, staff are very friendly , was there when they had a special event the ambiance was great .The food is great , products are fresh and typically french.The restaurant deco is very cute ,very well decorated.If you want a taste of authentic French food.I highly recommend Le huitème restaurant.Thanks for your lovely message !!! On a Tuesday evening we got the last table, most people had booked and they were turning people away. We had the E19.90 menu (3 courses) and it was excellent. There was a good choice of fresh fish, all the food was expertly prepared and presented, certainly a "restaurant gastronomique". The service was very friendly and efficient, excellent food at an excellent price.

We enjoyed a corporate lunch in this restaurant. It is definitely not the most appropriate way to discover a restaurant. Nonetheless, the quality was nice, the products fresh and the service kind and efficient.The restaurant is nicely arranged, giving to the old building a trendy style.It was definitely a nice experience. We were spending a couple of days in St Brevin and earlier in the week struggled to find anywhere open as most restaurants were closed for part of January. This restaurant is open from Wednesday to Sunday in January.Visited for lunch and weren't disappointed.Menu of the day was limited but tasty choices and good value for 14.50 euros. Salade du 7 was a particularly filling starter with fresh salad, eggs and lardons. Olives on table on arrival were of good quality. Service was polite and quite speedy.
