Hermann Fromagerie et Cave a Vins

This place is just special if you like cheese, cold meats and wine. Basically they do platters of mixed cheese, cold meats and a glass of wine. The emphasis changes frequently. We’ve been several times and it’s always interesting. The guys who run it take it really seriously, each platter is made before your eyes and carefully explained either in English or French. The atmosphere is almost reverential to the customers, food and wine. All the cheeses, meat and wine are for sale at reasonable price.Very like a library inside (only of food and wine) and there are tables outside but it’s a bit busy.Dog friendly inside.Really recommended but you need to like this sort of food and like your prejudices challenged!

We were staying at Camping Le Ridin and decided to try this restaurant as we didnt need to drive/could both have a drink and were so glad that we did. They were all so friendly and it was all the better because they spoke little english which made us work harder!! The food was lovely -as always in France-and really well priced as we had a three course meal each with wine and beer for 58 euros. The service and presentation was great and would recommend-worth going to even if you have to drive as it is a few miles outside Le Crotoy.

Liz et Johann sont heureux de vous accueillir dans leur restaurant où une cuisine de saison vous sera servie face à la baie de Somme. Le restaurant est idéalement situé : face à la plage avec vue imprenable sur la baie et ses magnifiques couchers de solei

Beautiful food displaying real finesse and the view over the bay compliments everything too. The menu is rather difficult to navigate as there are only a few dishes to choose from but in various combinations, yet it's worth studying it carefully to be rewarded. The interior of the restaurant is very attractive so it's a good rendezvous out of season. I ate a delicious lieu jaune with local purple potatoes and samphire as a main course. There is a large choice of shellfish in various combinations. The service was acceptable but food tended to be 'plonked' down. I rarely make a comment like this but I do hope it will lead to an improvement as it's a great place really.

Auberge de la Dune restaurant

A very nice location with great countryside views, very conveniently located on the way to and from the Parc de Marquenterre bird sanctuary. Nice, small countryside building well kept and restored (but for stains on the inside wall, which make the place look dirtier than it likely is). Even the background music is less intrusive than in most restaurants we tried in the area, which is welcome. We could eat there at 3 PM, which is extremely convenient and well out of standard restaurant serving times, much appreciated. The lowest price menu, at 19 Euro, was good value for money as we were little hungry and would have dinner soon, still were happy to try some near-local food, simple and still a bit more sophisticated than bistro/pub/fast food. We had a nice terrine de campagne as one of the starters and pleasant fish in a creamy sauce with vegetables and salicornes (local seaweed) as the main course. The menu suggested the sauce for the fish was made from mussels, shrimps and salicornes again. This is perfectly possible, provided salicornes were much less than required to give a green hue to the otherwise light yellow sauce, and mussels and shrimps have no taste. Might as well have called it a cream sauce and leave it at that. The one silly, pointless surprise was in the second starter. A shrimp salad (salade de crevettes) included surimi. This is a processed food I consider completely free from gastronomic value and best left out of any recipe as it adds no value and takes away some. Why would any restaurant, however low cost and simple, add something that detracts from the flavor and quality of its dishes? And this is clearly a bit more sophisticated than that.

We enjoyed good food and service in this very clean and comfortable restaurant. The waitress was very friendly and helpful in explaining some of the dishes to us. We chose a mackerel dish and pate dish for starters and both were very good. Main courses consisted of moules frites and a lamb shank. Again, both dishes were very good. Plenty of bread as well. Wine was reasonably priced and served in various size pichets to suit thirst and pocket.Nice ambience about the place. Recommended.

We normally visit an other place but it was closed on this day. We were not disappointed by taking Le Mascaret instead. The menu is not huge but you find a good choice of dish/meat choices. Friendly service and very nice quality food. Highly recommended in Le Crotoy.

This place must be the best restaurant of the bay... the menu of 29,5 € had an amazing starter, a even better and more tasteful main dish and all presented with love and an artistic touch. The desert was ok but presented nicely. Service was distinguished. This is a culinary heaven with very down to earth prices. Top!

Restaurant du Beffroi

This is quite a large pub/brasserie set opposite the beautifully lit town belfry. On an evening in early October there were initially a few locals having a beer but then only two sets of diners, of which we were one. Outside tables unused. Football match on the television. Not exactly the hive of activity which it must be in summer. The meal of mussels was excellent value for these days and both it and the chips were well cooked. Also a decent half bottle of Alsatian Riesling but the service was slow and rather off-hand. There must have been something more interesting to deal with out back.

On the recommendation of TripAdvisor we visited this place for lunch and we were not disappointed. The restaurant was full at lunchtime and this is not surprising considering the quality of food they had on offer. Many local dishes available. I had rognons de veau which were quite outstanding. Certainly worth a visit.

Great value for a dining experience to remember. Somewhat limited choice but this underscores the fresh and local nature of the food, well cooked and attractively presented. Ample portions - perhaps too much on the plate if you have the 3 fish bouillabaisse as a main course following a hearty starter after a complimentary amuse Boucher ! We had the Baked Camambert to finish with peppercorns and flaming. Lava dos poured over.. Interesting. The restaurant was very full for dinner on a Tuesday evening in late August. It seemed they were mostly locals - always a good sign.
