Make sure you are hungry before entering: the menu consists of gargantuan portions of local and fresh produce. If not, go for a long walk in the Muziekbos (Music Forest) first. This bistro is located on top of a hill and an ideal starting point for exploring this beautiful hidden gem of Flanders.Warm welcome, excellent service (good timing!), nice interior decoration, delicious food. When the restaurant is full, you will have to make an effort to make yourself understood at your table. But, with a little bit of wine, whatever you say ... doesn't matter ... just enjoy your meal ... and your company ...

We arrived in a group of six, without a booking, to a friendly welcome. The surroundings and atmosphere were pleasant and our waiter Apostolos, who speaks fluent English, was happy to advise us on the menu. Most of us chose an assorted mezze platter - they adapted mine to just fish and vegetables because I donât eat meat. It was absolutely delicious, probably the best mezze Iâve eaten anywhere. The food is cooked by Apostolosâs mother, who emigrated from Greece to Belgium with his father several decades ago. The food was excellent, but what made the evening extra memorable was that Apostolos took the time to chat and share jokes with us, which made the atmosphere very convivial. I would highly recommend for good food and good cheer.

Very nice food. Owned by a couple, their mother (a fine old lady) and their son. So a real family business. Polite and friendly service, nice modern interior, sunny terrace at the back. Can't tell anything about the value because the three times we've been here my parents in law paid the bill for us :-)

Though we have only dined at the Chateau du Mylord once before, we were greeted like regular visitors and felt welcome, which definitely also is thanks to sommelier Bart Lamont. The whole evening is like an adventerous luxurious culinaric trip with small surprises along the road. The micro-menus are my favourite. They are like a total surprise and the taste sensation is just fantastic. We went for the "Back from Holidays" menu...loved it. And the wine..... I can only recommend to choose the wine menu and let Bart handle the wine selection. If you appreciate delicate food, superior wine and being totally spoiled, you should pay Chateau du Mylord a visit ;-).

We visited here for dinner after watching the Tour of Flanders cycle race. We didn't intend to have dinner in Ronse, but there was a long wait until the train back to Bruges so we went looking for somewhere to eat. We thought Vrijheid was really great inside with lots of interesting decorations. The food and beer was delicious, and the service quick and friendly. We also loved the music they played. Well worth a visit!

We first went to this restaurant last June when we moved to Ronse from Brussels. We've been back three or four times, and it has never disappointed. The atmosphere is laid-back and casual; the service first-rate; and the food exceptionally good. There are a lot of Belgian/Flemish classics, plus daily specials. Everything we've eaten has been beautifully prepared and presented and, most importantly, tasted sublime. The wine list is not extensive but there is a good enough selection, and they are moderately priced. All in all, this is our favourite restaurant in Ronse. There may be a couple of others that are more deluxe or refined, but if you want an unpretentious place to eat top-quality food at a reasonable price, La Difference can't be beaten.

The intention of the owners is to create an "haute-cuisine" restaurant. However, I think this is exactly where this restaurant is missing its target. This is a good restaurant but its to heavy to be a weekly return-restaurant and it is not refined enough to be a trendy restaurant. Wij hopen daarop.Beste groeten,Chantal & Michel
