We visited this wonderful restaurant in August 2014. Its was family dinner and everyone from big to small was satisfied. Its a classy place with tasty and inventive cuisine, beautifully decorated and served dishes. In comparison with standard tourist places around its the absolute win. Charming owner Susanne helped us out with the choice and cared about us, like about every table very attentively all evening long. This place is highly recommended to visit once you are around. But please be sure you reserve a table, it was full.

Live italian gourmet excellence atâ Volverâ, the fine dining restaurant inside the Marina Cala de Medici. With a sea view â al frescoâ terrace, Volver Restaurant offers a unique vantage point of the Castiglioncello bay. Fall in love with the view as you s
In a nice tiny touristic port close to Livorno you taste an elegant fish meal prepared by chef Roberto De Franco. The restaurant is perfectly designed to please you and the food i perfectly prepared to drive you crazy. Fresh fish, ginger, pink grapefruit, paccheri and all he founds at the fresh market get in your dish in a mix of delicate flavor. It deserve a trip, 30 minutes driving from Livorno or Bolgheri.

I have been here several times, mostly after a day at the sea! You can have dinner here, but I go often for the appetizer in the evening! The view of the sea is breathtaking and the food is pretty good. If you have the chance to stop by, do it!

Had a lovely meal here early Sept on a trip to Castiglioncello. Lovely fresh food, delicious and great service. No menu or prices but the waiter had very good English and he told us about all the different dishes and prices, would definitely eat here again. Very friendly service, and no cover charge!

Nice little restaurant. The owner seems to be really passionate of his job, and has a huge love for food. I got to try couple of interesting and also delicious plates from the traditional cucina Livornese. My husband, and I really enjoyed eating here we will be back one day!

Orario estivo aperti di sera da martedi' alla domenica. Chiuso il lunedi'
Such a warm greeting when we arrived. The view from the Restaurant over the town of Livorno is wonderful and started the evening off extremely well..The menu is diverse and has the biggest selection of Steaks I have seen for a long time. My wife, who's less of a steak eater was treated to a special from the Chef that was exceptional. Nothing on the menu but a meal cooked just for her so, thank you for your kindness.A truly great experience. There's a lot of Scottish influence in this Restaurant that shines through with their hospitality.I would recommend this place to anybody especially if you like steaks!Thank you!! It was great to meet you and we're very pleased you enjoyed your meal at Ghinè Cambrì! Hope to see you both again when you come back to Italy. Ciao!

THE RESTAURANT IS TEMPORARILY CLOSED UNTIL THE BEGINNING OF SUMMER 2019. The restaurant has a wonderful terrace with breathtaking views of the Livorno coast. Delicious fish dishes and delicious pizza cooked in a wood oven will give you a UNIQUE experience
We were looking for a beach where we could also have lunch in resto fashion rather than a sandwich/salad and Paolieri was recommended to usNow, it's worth disclaiming that I spent my summers growing up on the North Adriatic coast, where beaches are made of sand and they go for kms, and that I was not aware of the fact that the Tuscan coast is rocky in partHaving said that, spending 45⬠for 2 beds and 1 umbrella to stay on a concrete platform feels like a joke. Ok the parking is included, ok some effort went into taking the concrete here, but why someone would spend money to come here instead of 50km north in Viareggio simply fails me. Clearly I'm only a minority as the place was swarming with people at the beginning of July, while the day before Viareggio had been very quiet, still I remain baffledIcing on the cake, the experience at the restaurant felt like being on a candid camera. Partially our fault as we asked to change the order after it had gone in, one would however think it's relatively simple to get a pizza instead of a pasta and above all one would hope that the rest of the order is not affected, instead:1. We had one starter and one pizza at the same time2. Then we got my main, which my friend took as it was similar to hers and I was still eating the starter3. There was a long break (40 minutes at least) in which my grilled fish seemed to have disappeared and the 4th person at the table was still to get the pizza. When I asked where the food was it became apparent that neither the fish not the pizza were in anyone's list4. My fish finally arrived, I finished it and there was still no sign of the pizza5. Eventually the pizza arrived (after another 20 minutes)At this point I had complained to at least 4 people, with no result and no apology but a couple of lame excuses. Certainly there was no discount and so I can only give Paolieri a terrible for terrible service and lack of good intentionsCertainly given the status of the beach we won't be back, so if they had to choose someone to treat this way they chose wisely. I note the review page is flooded with "terribles" anyway so clearly this is not a first and probably the reference market (the locals) don't even check this place's profile on tripadvisorSo for the tourist out there reading this, don't go to the resto next door, rather pick another location completely unless you want to end up with gravel under your toes!

Top quality seafood created with imagination. I also loved the wines offered by the staff. Not a cheap restaurant, yet, completely worth the price. You better do reservation in time, because it is full all the time, at least during summer.
