Friendly, family run restaurant with a pleasant terrace and garden running down to the River Lot.It is an interesting circular building, which had originally been built as an open sided tea room, but has now been filled in to provide more shelter if required. The lunchtime fixed price menu â¬27.50, offered extremely good value and quality.Service was efficient and friendly too.

We have been visiting Le Pukeko since it opened and whilst it may have moved from Puy L'Eveque to Prayssac it is still run by David and Rosie. They have a deliberately small menu reasoning that quality is better than quantity - and we agree. The family were agonizing over whether to have a steak or a burger so when we arrived and steaks were off that was the decider! The burgers were excellent - try asking for an Auckland Sky Tower burger if you dare (large appetites or hands only). I tried the fish and chips - superb and then we all enjoyed the home made desserts - which were so yummy. Good for a drink, ice-cream, lunch, snacks or alfresco evening meals away from the busy main road. We missed the start of their Full English Sunday breakfast which looks great, but will return to enjoy next year. I hope the steaks return too as they were the best-tasting ones we had in the area!

Quiet when we arrived at c6.30pm but picked up with drinkers and dinners. Still popular even though the season is quieter. Great selection of drinks in particular beers, even had Guinness on draft!! Looking forward to going back in the summer to have a few drinks, may be some food as well, on the terrace overlooking the river.

We were surprised to find that our favourite specialty foods shop had also opened a restaurant. It's just outside Prayssac and offers a spacious dining area. I think they only do lunches.Great food at very reasonable prices. It's wholesome rather than exotic but it's clear that a lot of care goes into the preparation

We ate here one lunchtime choosing from their set menu.As everyone has commented the view is spectacular. The restaurant seems to be run by a husband and wife team. She provides friendly and helpful waitress service. The three course menu is limited but all our choices proved excellent particularly the cod.A pleasant dining experience. A little pricier than some other local establishments but worth a visit.

This restaurant is a firm favourite, it really has gone to town and everything is just so nice, they have redecorate and changed the slightly dated restaurant, now fresh and welcoming, it s lovely that the food is excellent too and staff lovely...we would like to see more fish on the menu but that is not a criticism..well done

We have been twice once for coffee and scones once for lunch. The whole experience is enchanting, the surroundings and presentation of food are exquisite. The atmosphere is relaxing. It is quite magical with its pretty lighting and imaginative decoration. Definitely what Puy lâEveque needs - it is not your usual salon de thé. Please go and enjoy.

Had a great meal for the four of us a la carte. Good selection of food, some choices clearly local/regional along with other wider options. The restaurant was popular with a nice atmosphere. Service was good as was the wine selection which was also reasonably priced. Could not fault the food and the evening was overall good value with the wine and aperitifs included.

Popped in for lunch and yet again had a beautifully cooked meal without fuss in a lovely restaurant. A well balanced meal - hot asparagus and cheese pie followed by beef with rice and a good glass of red. All efficiently and charmingly provided by the host, owner, chef.
