There are two restaurants at Haikko. The main restaurant in the Manor offers breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The historic Manor House has two elegant, large dining rooms and several charming smaller rooms. Antique furniture, lovely details and historic ambi
Haikon kartano dining room fits beautifully to this elegant mansion. The service was professional and friendly at the same time. Food is great. Fresh local ingredients. They are not trying to be too fancy but still serve beautiful dishes. Imperial menu was a well thought and balanced meal. Combined with champagne and Amarone, I would'nt mind having it again. Stay in the hotel and combine with the spa. Perfect weekend.

Had late lunch / early dinner coming through Porvoo, excellent & attentive service and very good food. We ate outside despite the chilly weather as they provide nice blankets. I tried the blue cheese snails as appetizer, they were good. For the main, my smoked salmon with cauliflower crème was truly great, kudos! My friends enjoyed their meals very much as well.

Although this restaurant was established in 1763, this was the first time for me to visit this place. The interior is classical, the house has been an old pharmacy. The menu has local specialities and Italian food with local features. We ordered a special pizza. Salad is included, I can recommend this restaurant. The personnel is warm and friendly.

Rather disappointing self service. Lunch deal price of main dish including boring salad, bread or crackers, water or homemade non alcoholic ale and tea or coffee. I had beef stew with mashed potatoes and frozen carrots at E9.50 and my friend fried salmon and mash st E12.50.Better to go just for coffee and sit outside in the summer. In old town. Well located.

A restaurant emphasizing local and organic ingredients, knowing their suppliers, and basing their menus on seasonal items. By far the most ambitious restaurant in Porvoo.
Chose 4-course menu plus the wine package. Excellent flavours throughout the menu, only the cheese plate was a slight disappointment, since it was presented in plural, but cheese-wise included only a piece of brie. The wines were well chosen. Having said that, the wine package is quite pricey and even though when ordering, it was described to have four glasses of 10 cl, in practice they served 6-8 cl. Quite enough wine-wise, but increases the price still. All in all, a very nice dinner.

Enjoyed a pleasant lunch with family here. Steak and chips was good- their medium done was a tad rare in the middle. Service was friendly but not always prompt. Relaxed atmosphere to chat with family.

I have learned to go with what is recommended. Went here for lunch on a Saturday in March and were given the recommendations of entrecôte or mussels. My husband went with the entrecôte, and being a man with not many words, said that it was excellent. I donât eat meat and normally mussels isnât anything I would choose on a menu. However I decided to order it and wow! The portion was rather big but I finished it all. It was tenderly done and steamed in a broth I wish I had taken with me to analyze what was in it :) This was clearly one skilled chef! We were well taken care of with excellent service. We eat out a lot and this is clearly the best Iâve had in Finland. So ever in Porvoo, just go for Bistro Gustaf.HJello Inger,Thank you for your feedback. I´m glad to hear you are satisfied with the food and our service. Moules Mariniere are our classic and most popular dish. We wish you welcome back! Best regards, Mika

In the Old Town of Porvoo there is a red brick storehouse, built in 1902 by Oskar Simolin. The storehouse was a warehouse for Simolinâs department store. Throughout the decades different items have been stored in the building, for example coffee. This mig
We were on a short visit to Porvoo on a Sunday and were pleasantly surprised when we found out that this place was open on Sunday morning. The coffee was excellent and we also got fresh (huge) cinnamon buns.Thank you so much for your review! Yes, we're open 365 days of the year. So no one have to wonder if we are open - we are always open ;)
