La Risacca is another restaurant located just in front of the marina, flanked by other similar restaurants along the Porto Azzuro waterfront and marina. As such it offers pretty similar menu at more or less same prices. Regrettably , at such a category it doesn't offer anything more that will distinguish it from the other restaurants around. Two of us tried the fish soup for two which was o.k, but not more. I tried three appetizers which only one was really good, the fish carpaccio, but it was such minuscule in size, that I should have ordered at least two just to enjoy the taste. The service itself was erratic, and for the best dish, the carpaccio, I had to remind the waiter few times that am still awaiting. By the time it came, my friends have finished their dish long ago. Could be better.

We had our best meal at this restaurant during our stay at Porto Azzurro. The food was unexpectedly awesome, I tried several random sea food including grill combinations and all was better than expected. Good local wine recommendations, nice and very friendly staff (Sorry that I forgot the name of the staff even if I noticed down...) Exceptionally friendly.I assume we were quite early there because of our baby girl's early sleeping time, we were not told that the restaurant was not open, on contrary, we were very welcomed.I would recommend them to all my friends.

we completed our stroll through the small town of Porto Azzurro and decided on this restaurant as it was well attended and a pizza would be the right option for an evening meal. I choose the s"special" which was covered in a range of grilled vegetables and the other pizza ordered was a classic pizza topped with mozarella, prosciutto and rocket.I ordered 2 beers and since there was no alcohol-free beer I ordered a botle of water for my wife. Total bill â¬30. The pizza we are used to is the Neapolitan type which base is thinner and more moist . An acceptable meal in a popular restaurant located on the promenade.

We had our best pizza here; very tasty. Try the gourmet one. The only inconvenience was that the place was very busy, so we had to wait for our reserved table. Anyway it was worth the 30' waiting (after that service was quick). We will try to come back during our trip.

Stayed 3 weeks in Elba. This was surpassing our expectations. We just turned off the road as the kids were starving. The staff was very helpful translating the menu which was only in Italian. The menu was a fantastic change in choice from other restaurants. Duck, veal, and lamb feature alongside classics as wildboar pappardelle. Hearty and lovely. Wine from the estate on offer, all by the glass. Will return.

We had dinner in the evening and unfortunately it was incredibly hot. We were sitting outside and all of the other guests were also sweating and waving with napkins and fans. I was uncomfortable all the time, it was like eating in a sauna. The food was ok, but did not make up for this discomfort. Cara Linda puoi tarnare in inverno il cibo sarà ok, ma non mangerai perche troppo freddochev idiozia!!!

Botte Gaia was recommended by locals and they were right. They serve Italian food they way Italians appreciate it. Straight forward and absolutely delicious. The atmosphere is welcoming and warm. Botte Gaia is often fully booked. We made our reservation early. Highly recommend this restaurant if you are looking for a delicious meal on Elba.
