Oscars is not "fine dining", as some of the other reviewers might have expected. It is more in competition with the local pub, providing solid, hearty food with a friendly service. That's exactly what we were after. The flatbread was flat and not too yeasty nicely covered with rocket and pear. All ingredients were fresh and nicely presented. Service was a bit on the slow side but very friendly. And yes, we had as well the experience that after our mains we felt a bit left alone. The short blacks were however as they should be.

Approachable Fine Dining. Italian cusine with a French twist. Produce sourced locally. Executive Chef Daniel Armon knew from an early age that he had the passion for food and aspired to be an amazing Chef like his mother. Worked under Kevin Tonglee from L

We stopped at Mitolo for wine tasting. Nice setting with a great view (like almost everywhere in McLaren Vale) and a nice modern restaurant. The highlight for us was the wine tasting. They had a few options and we picked the one that could fit a vegetarian style with 6 wines. The whole experience was great and the wines, mainly the Shiraz and Cab Suv for me, where excellent. Very nice.

We came here while visiting the area for a few days. We had asked some Adelaide friends for recommendations of where to eat and this was one that they recommended. We came here for Saturday lunch on a pretty bleak day but it was warm and cosy inside. We arrived early for lunch and, as we were having the degustation, we were able to taste whatever we liked in the tasting room before lunch. We had a wonderful hostess from Argentina serving us in the tasting area. She really brought the wines to life and made the start of our visit most enjoyable. We then moved into the restaurant where we had a table with a lovely outlook. We had the large degustation and my wife had the matching wines - I had to drive :-( . All of the courses were excellent with our favourite being the scallop one. The whole afternoon was such a relaxed and enjoyable time with food that is more like art than food (in the best way!). Make sure you come here if you can.

This place was a real find by our friends. Lovely, fresh and open space fro dining inside, with a lovely fireplace, and stunning views from outside. The staff were super friendly and the food was stunning. One of the better places we experienced whilst in Adelaide. Weâre looking forward to an opportunity to get back there when we next visit.
