It looks like the typical beach/sea place with a terrace. I didn't expect normal prices for drinks and good food at a reasonable rate. My "51" was excellent, the Rosé very good and the beef tartare as it should be. While the view is not the best (parking and camper lot), at least one sees the sea. The place is hopping at night!

Le Comptoir was recomended to us by the camping recepcionist close to this restaurant and indeed worths a visit. The food was great, the service quick and friendly, nice decor and general atmosphere quite positive. At the end, prices weren't too high and we left quite happy and pleased. If in the surroundings again, this is a place to return and we recomend a visit without any doubt.

My husband had a sole, the largest we have seen for a long time. I had Fruits de mer with extra crab. Simply delicious. We stayed around for lunch the next day and had bulots with aioli to start, followed by moules and squid. Everything was so fresh and beautifully presented, no suspicion of the freezer here other than for the bed of ice.
Went with friends, for a day trip and found L'Archi Bar, and are we pleased we did. We all had salads. They were fresh, tasty and well presented. The service was very professional by a charming waitress. We will be back.

The background music was not only loud but cringeworthy. Stick to classical if you don't want to offend. Service excellent. As usual in this sort of restaurant the dishes go from excellent to bad: so the entrées are always very good, le plat principal OK and the desserts ... well, better just take a coffee. Honorable exception for the crème catalan.

Everything about Le Potager works well. The decor is well coordinated whilst feeling relaxed, the eating spaces are busy but not cramped (choose the rear garden under a huge fig tree if possible), the staff are friendly and very helpful and, most importantly, the food is excellent. The menu is not huge, thank goodness, and the choices of grilled meats and fish and vegetables are wonderful. The homegrown tomato menu is also worth a try for starters, as is the pigs trotter terrine. From starter to pudding, everything was beautifully flavoured and fresh, and the Le Potager Syrah and Chardonnay were a great match and very reasonable. We paid â¬208 for 5 people, aperitifs, starters, mains, puddings and 2 bottles of wine, great value for this quality. And the best bit is the overall experience, relaxed, unpretentious and well fed!

Be sure to book, as this place clearly knows its limits and does not cram in too many people. They have space to add more tables, but do not compromise their friendly and relaxed service by being too busy. The menu has a good choice of local classics and there are a number of set priced deals which give good value. I had a starter of mixed St Jaques/Moules which was very large, followed by a thick entrecôte, both of which were delicious. All our party of 6 felt that they had been very well fed, and all enjoyed the atmosphere, eclectic decoration and happy interaction with Madame. Price for 6 with wine and aperitifs was 200 euros.

Agree with earlier "Tourist Trap" comment. Despite restaurant being practically empty, staff were not attentive and we had to wait a tremendously long time for our food to arrive. Seems everything we ordered looked and tasted like it was frozen. We couldn't wait to leave. Don't eat here. If you want to have nice tapas go to Le Marine or The XV in the old town of Port la Nouvelle.

Simple, good food right on the banks of the 'Canal du midi', with menus @ 22 / 30⬠and with places to park quite close to the restaurant

A small, modern restaurant, pleasantly decorated. We received a warm welcome and were happy to take the daily midday menu.A good, honest meal - a nice salad with serrano ham, followed by a really tasty duck leg and a tarte aux pommes for dessert. Ameal for two, with a demi of red wine and coffee for under 35 euros? Who could possibly complain. We had more than sufficient, served quickly and without fuss. I would happily return and try something more adventurous next time.
