I am surprised that Le Zagaya is not more highly rated. My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed their lunch menu. The food was very good, the setting (on the beach) is excellent, the service was very good.We are now looking forward to returning to Pornic and visiting Restaurants in the top 10 ratings (They must be fantastic).

We had to wait for a table but only half an hour, as our wonderful waitress Mlle Mary explained. So we ordered Mojitos while we sat outside and enjoyed the great view. Then Mlle Mary guided us to our tables. The three-course menu was exceptionally good, from entrée to dessert. To help celebrate my birthday, we even received a special cocktail 'on the house'. Even with many customers that Saturday night, we hardly had to wait and our waitress' honesty as well as humour were great. She was over the moon with our tip. But the evening was worth what we paid - for great food, great drinks and great service. When we return to Pornic for our next beach holiday, we will definitely pay Le Bout du Monde another visit for more of that delicious food. Well worth the visit, even for a cocktail on one of the comfy chairs outside. The whole team of room and kitchen thank you for your great comment, wishing to see you again very soon.

Restaurant crée en 1998 dans une batisse du 16 eme siecles, vendue 1 ere fois en 2008 puis en 2012 et finalement de retour dans les bras des 1 er proprietaire depuis le printemps 2017
This is the second time that we have eaten here with our granddaughter. Service was a little slow as they were extremely busy. We were made very welcome and the meal was delicious and reasonably priced

Dined outside on a high table and chairs precariously propped up against a wall beside a thoroughfare constantly thronged with people walking past us - not a good ambience. Food was ok. I had an asian style goats cheese filo parcel which was pleasant and monk fish wrapped in parma ham for main course - all tasty but nothing special. my husband had a very disappointing prawn salad, with few prawns, sad leaves and uninspiring dressing. Service was hit and miss, served at one stage by a very charming, friendly and helpful waitress who had great English, but rest of staff (owners) were very unattentive.

Mussels were incredibly tasty - had a creme fraiche sauce which I loved but my mother didn't.Husbands steak was out of this world. Both kids meals were delicious and there were empty plates at the end.One of our party ordered the tapas plate and whilst tasty it was small and basic compared to the rest of the food that came out.

As soon as we arrived the heavens opened but the huge umbrella saved us from being soaked. Lots of people moved inside but we decided to brave the weather - it didn’t last long. Glad we stayed cause we had a lovely supper in clear fresh air. I have tuna with vegetables and spelt risotto. Rob had mussels and frites. Both delicious. Coffee very good and service friendly and helpful.

This place is worth going to for the view alone! The staff are very friendly and there is a great selection of crepes including some very traditional and local ones. The cider is very nice too. We arrived late for lunch, but they kindly accommodated us. Dessert crepes and ice creams are beaut too.

The Retz: fresh, original cuisine, sauces falling, desserts to top ONLY seafood reservation.
We were unable to get into our first choice restaurant, but they recommended this place. Everywhere was very busy as it was a bank holiday weekend. The set menu was a reasonable price, and the food we had was good, if not exceptional. Both the duck and the steak we had for main course were overcooked, despite us asking for pink, and medium (which is normally rare in France). This may be because they are used to British tourists demanding their food incinerated but it was disappointing when they had asked us how we wanted the food cooked. the service was a bit slow but they were very busy so fair enough.Total cost for a 3 course meal with house wine was 74 Euros which is not bad for the area.

Probably the best crêpes I've ever had! Good thing we arrived early just after the opening, because in a few minutes, the restaurant was already full. No wonder why. The place is really friendly, I loved the decoration: simple, clear, and modern. The menu is short (already a good sign:)), and they also serve English pancakes (salty ans sweet ones)! The waiters were really nice, the crêpes was made out of fresh ingredients, it was crunchy, hmmm. Even the dough had an nice buttery taste! I am so glad that we chose this restaurant, it was a perfect Sunday lunch, I would definitely go back just for their crêpes. And I will! :) Absolutely, 100% recommend it!

Simple, cold salad starters of prawns and chicken and of tomatoes tartare with sardines rillettes. Main of scallop brochettes with beurre blanc sautéed new potatoes and buttered vegetables. Main was perfectly cooked sweet scallops bathed in the most delicious buttery sauce with well seasoned and equally buttery vegetables. Two glasses of white wine recommended by the lovely proprietor who was welcoming and friendly. Just sorry we had to leave. Perfect for a fun boozy lunch.
