Had our family dinner on Sunday evening to celebrate my husband birthday!Very lovely and peaceful place to come over. Good and kind staff working!I had the foie gras with spiced ice cream for my starter which was wonderful and tuna for the main. Tuna was perfectly cooked. Personally would change that sweet rice for something else. However, the Charlotte dessert OhDear God! You need to work on it. Honestly!(((No like at all. Visually looks terrible! My husband and father in law had 80â¬menu! Ripping the money off from you!Shame!!!Carpaccio had no seasoning on it and it was tastles.Overal, one time visit and ripping money off for what they are offering you!

Our restaurant serves you a modern french cuisine made with fresh products and using local specialities. During summer enjoy our 150 m2 terrasse very quiet or our climatised restaurant room.
We have eaten in this restaurant, at lunchtime, regularly since Pierre took over. This visit, had it been the first, would have put us off returning. We had the worst lunch we have experienced here since the take over: greasy samosas, mushroom pasta that was all chewy over-cooked and tasteless pasta, not much mushroom and so little sauce that I couldn't eat most of the dish. Whist the steak was cooked correctly, the accompanying chips were soggy, possibly because of being held in the kitchen or due to stale oil. The dick sauté was more like steamed duck, with very little flavour. The Asian noodles were actually very plain. We declined desserts as a result.Fingers crossed that normal standards resume soon...........

"Dans un cadre enchanteur et convivial, Carine et David CARDINEAU, vous proposent une cuisine créative de saison issue de productions locales pour des repas en tête à tête ou des événements familiaux ou professionnels jusqu'à 150 personnes."
Locally this restaurant has a reputation of excellent food in a charming environment. We can only confirm the high praise from many other reviewers. Great service and a great chef in the kitchen. Delicious and original amuses. Recipes with 'ancien legumes' (classic vegetables), very subtle lay-out on the plate. Opens only 4 days a week and timely reservation is necessary. You can study the menus in advance on their website.

We offer throughout the year a selection of fresh seasonal produce, all prepared and cooked in our kitchen. Our products are largely provided by local producers and suppliers. In addition to the menus and the carte, we suggest a daily menu with a "Plat du
We recently visited the St. Genis on a Sunday lunchtime with a French friend, who was firstly very impressed with our greeting by the owner who remembered us from previous visits. The food as always was excellent and the service very good. Our French friend chose the buffet for a starter and came back with a plate of grated carrot!! He said this was all he wanted and enjoyed it very much. I had the escargot which were delicious and my husband chose the tartare of courgettes that came with a beautiful Scotch egg. For main course the men opted for the hake with rice and vegetables, and I had a roast duck leg with slices of roast potato and vegetables. For dessert both my husband and I had the Apricot Tiramisu and our friend had the creme brûlée. A very enjoyable meal all round.

Living like a god in France, who doesnât want that? The Burgundian French life includes of course a nice meal. The restaurant Les Moulins de la Vergne serves traditional cuisine prepared from local, fair and only fresh and seasonal ingredients. Trendsette
I can't believe the other reviews ! We were met on the terrace and asked if we would like a large or a small bottle of Perrier - when I asked for a small one was told he only had large - when it came it was Badoit - he said it was the same thing - had bubbles. Our friends then arrived and we had a menu forced on us with pressure to order. We did and went into the restaurant to find it waiting on the table - no water, no napkins - until asked for. My seafood starter was wet to say the least - when he was asked if it was frozen - most definitely not was the reply - it came out of a tin - this was the daily "special" (not). The carpaccio of beef was OK I understand, the other 2 starters were mediocre at best. Mains were fine and desserts were ok. A trip to the WC revealed no WC paper and no hand towels - when I asked the same young Dutch chap - he replied he wouldnt know if he wasn't told - snippy back when I remarked maybe he should check periodically. Overall quite a grotty experience and if the meals were prepared by a properly trained chef - I'm the Dutchman !! Won;t be back even though we live locally.Since 1 March 2014 are we the new owners of the restaurant and the camping Les Moulins de la Vergne. So we will invite you to come see our new restaurant

very French. a great menu choice. Friendly staff and the balcony restaurant upstairs allows guests to view the many shows and activities of local performing artists. Reasonable price and authentic French cuisine. Shame they have taken the Mussels off the menu but there are lots of choices.
