Someone in the pool told me about this restaurant. We decided to walk up there with the stroller. It was great! the view , the service and the food! Play room for kids with staff (our 2 year old loved it) we will be back <3

Lovely location and view, good food and outstanding service. One of the most pleasant aspects of this establishment is the responsive staff. They do not hover over you, but are immediately present if needed. The atmosphere and music is relaxing.

A party of 20 at my uncles birthday dinner on a Sunday evening was taking place at Sonio Beach Restaurant. One amazing looking and tasting plate after the other was presented. Grilled halumi, greek salad, susages, aubergine, fried potatoes (the best I have ever tasted), grilled cheese, etc. The ever smiling (and must I say, good looking staff) helped us in any possible way.I would recommend this restaurant to anyone. Do not hesitate - dig in and enjoy!

Must surely be one of the best restaurants in the area. Pizza was amazing, and wine served the right temperature (wine cooler). Bruschetta and caprese was also delicious. Staff is very professional, and gives you space to enjoy your dinner, but at the same just seconds away, when needed. We will definitely come back during our stay. Third time in Platanias and third time to visit this wonderful family run gallery and taverna. The food is absolutely first class and Mediterranean dishes presented exquisitely and taste delicious. Home made aubergine salad and olives with bread are just the start of a fabulous evening meal every time! Complimentary desserts are wonderful too. Also have snacks and lighter bites and an extensive drinks menu so ideal for lunchtime too.Located just past the Minoa Palace Resort and Spa it is a little niche. We recommend you give it a try. Beer,this time Mythos, was served in frozen glas. On the house we got an apertizer with grillad bread and something to dip it in. We orded moussaka, that was very beautiful served with tomato, cucumber, pepper and onion and was very good. And as a dessert we was given an icecream and of course some raki, on the house! This is a restaurant that we gladly rekommend if you are in Kolymbari, Crete.

We go here every time we are in Platanias/Agia Marina.Great Italian food. Best carbonara in the world according to my daughter. Their Frutti di Mare Pasta is also great. Friendly staff, although a bit inattentive at the time we were there. Only minus is that their is no playground for children.
