We have eaten filet all over the world. The flavor in the filet was phenomenal. It's what you travel to France to experience. Exquisite, subtle flavor combinations that make you sad when you're done. The potatoes as well were simply fantastic. We weren't impressed the desserts so save your money and just allow the filet to be your dessert. We plan to go back again tonight!

Perfect place if you want to taste French cuisine. Nice family atmosphere, place to stay outside. Big choice of wine , very tasty duck. 3 course menu in reasonable price around 25 Euro. You can pay using card.

This is the restaurant of a very nice hotel, in an tiny, but wonderful little French village. They have a Michelin star, and it tasted well earned. Great (raw) tuna as starter, and beautiful duck as main course. Plus all sort of little Mise a Bouchers, to give the chef some time to prepare stuff. A wine menu to drool over.

We stopped for lunch having explored the castle. Service was prompt and friendly. We had a variety of sandwiches and salads and were all content- very generous portions gave excellent value. Large outside garden overlooks the river, with small play area for younger children.

We finally got to eat one lunch in this restaurant during our four night stay. Their opening hours are a bit difficult to fathom, and even some of the staff did not seem to sure as to when the restaurant was open or closed, it is a bar/tabac as well. Anyway, as I said we finally got our moules/frites. Generous portions, service was efficient, not too slow and the staff were friendly enough. Would not have minded trying an evening meal sometime with all that seafood on the menu. Maybe next time.

Cuisine tr
We stumbled across this place, while trying to resolve access to accommodation we had booked. Tea, coffee and waffles were produced swiftly by friendly staff and we really relaxed. Later, having organised our accommodation, we felt drawn to the large bar/restaurant again. It is a spacious area with large windows overlooking a lake and really has the feel of a comfortable lounge bar. It leads into a roomy restaurant, just as light and open with a huge open fire. We had intended to move on, but the owner pointed out there would be live music all evening and there would also be fish and meat grilled over an open fire. The music was already in evidence - a great singer and guitarist. We were hooked!Even better, realising that we would have liked a vegetarian dish not normally on the Thursday grill menu, it was specially prepared as an exception. That kind of service is so rare. We had a lovely evening. The music was wonderful - not too loud - taking in jazz and pop classics. People ended up dancing to it.We'd had a stressful day but this was a glorious end to it. We enjoyed the food, ( it wasn't the best we have ever eaten in a restaurant but the atmosphere, location and careful cooking made it special. The wine and service the service were also excellent. I can't recommend this place enough, especially on a bad day!

Very nice small hotel opposite the lake. Large terrace where dinner is served in summer. Surprisingly large rooms with view across to the castle. Owner speaks good English. On street parking but very quiet at night so no problem. Chef has some inventive dishes but you can easily choose to to eat at any of the other cafes and restaurants in the village

It was a bit airless in the dining room in the evenings, but a small price to pay for the excellent food and good service. Breakfast was more than adequate for me, with as much coffee/tea.juice as we wanted but it is not an english fry up. Just croissants or pain au chocolat and fresh bread with butter and preserves... very nice. lovely coffee, set me up for the day!

Beautifully situated next to the lake looking up to the chateau. Very peaceful and serene. Only negative I have is that our female server was not very friendly. A smile really would have made all the difference.

We were warmly welcomed with our baby granddaughter. This is a fantastic place for the best galettes and crepes. The galettes were super tasty with delicious fillings. The Grand Marnier for one crepe was very generous. Great contrast between the crispy galettes and delicate crepes. We would love to return.
