my wife and I had a lovely meal here at this Italian restaurant. The food is excellent and plenty of it as my wife had to ask for a carry out box! The service is also excellent considering it's just a husband and wife team with no waiting on staff. A nice friendly atmosphere too. One word of caution, you would need to book as the restaurant is quite small.HI CazCheshirethank you for this thoughtful review we are so glad you enjoyed your evening with us at As.Is it was a pleasure to have you and we look forward to welcoming you back again.kind regardsIsabelle and the As.Is team

We visited Aber House on a sunny afternoon and sat on the patio, in the sun. The service and staff were very good and we all had Earl Grey Tea and cake! The cakes were excellent and a very generous portion size. I would suggest visiting here if you are in Barmouth - so much so that we visited Aber House the following day!!
Little bakery with fresh bread made on the premises Homemade cakes and pies Freshly made sandwiches with own ciabatta and rolls. Meal deal available
I call here today with my wife for a pasty and cake as I have done before. To be honest I didn't expect to be reviewing the shop as I have done so before however, I found it under new ownership and felt that I should review it as we were so pleasantly surprised by the improvements these folks have made to it. It was certainly good before but now the choice of sandwich fillings has expanded so much and the pasty and sausage roll we had were so very tasty. Another surprise was the fact that they were baking bread in the shop. Gosh the smell of that bread baking was absolutely great. We actually bought two loaves while we were there to take home one wholemeal and one white for me (very naughty but nice!) We also had a Double Decker custard slice each. Delicius! The Owners were very pleasant and polite. Nothing seemed to be too much trouble for them. Their coffee was a very reasonable price too which is quite unusual in this area now I'm afraid. They appear to have made nice changes to the decor of the shop and it is quite a bit brighter inside now than the last visit we made. I would be quite happy to highly recommend this eating establishment to anyone who is looking for light food and refreshment rather than a large cooked meal.Thank you for your very nice review. We are very pleased for your time and I hope you come back with your wife again

Please note that on Easter Sunday we are also open for evening service, therefore we serve from 12 midday - 20.30
I decided to book this restaurant about 2 weeks after reading the reviews of this & others on TA. Glad I did. Me & my other half has the combo starter while for means he had the lamb shank which fell off the bone & I had sea bass which came in a lovely creamy sauce. Also found room for apple & blackberry crumble & custard. Everything we had was really well made. The staff were polite. They also do a specials board if nothing on the main menu catches your fancy. Would definitely book here if I was to visit Barmouth again.

Situated in Coastal Barmouth, this tastefully renovated old Natwest bank is home to Megan and Ryanâs long held passion to open their own restaurant. Now into their third year, they pride themselves on serving great food in a relaxed and informal atmospher
A truly excellent restaurant. The food is amazing, atmosphere is very relaxed yet warm and the seaweed with aioli is an absolute revelation. Friendly staff and a great night out. A brilliant find in a small seaside town. I will 100% book again the next time i am in barmouth.

Dylan is a wine importer who has opened a Cellar Wine Shop, cafe and bar in this beautiful Welsh town. Expert knowledge in a relaxed atmosphere. Enjoy a glass, a bottle or even a tiny 25ml taster of wine from our PODS (a preservation system that allows us
We have stopped off here several times on our way up north for coffee and scones. The premises is really attractive and the wine cellar is great. I bought several bottles of wine from the cellar and was thrilled to bits with them. I will definitely be dropping by again to stock up on supplies. Its a great place to buy a presents with a whole wall shelf dedicated to Welsh produce. Always a warm welcome, looking forward to making time to eat lunch here. Thank you very much. Even though we import wines from Europe and sell Italian and Spanish foods in the shop, we do like to showcase as many Welsh products as possible so I'm delighted you approve! We look forward to seeing you again.

This bar was recommended by our hotel- sadly we found it very poor. It is a fairly large room with brightly coloured walls, a wood floor and cheap, repurposed furniture. The menu is fairly comprehensive as is the drinks list. The Maitre D is French, and very accommodating. We arrived for an 8pm booking to find the place full of families. As such it was noisy and not the adult environment we hoped for. Many of the items on the menu were not available. Others menu items were altered but we were not told until they were brought to our table. The potatas bravas were greasy as were the Padron Peppers. We were charged £6âish for two deep fried chicken wings, split into 4 on a bed of lettuce. Other items were disappointing with some being more Asian than Spanish. In short, yes, this is the best Tapas bar in Dolgellau, but if it was in an equivalent town in Spain, it wouldnât last 5 minutes.

Y Meirionnydd Townhouse is a great restaurant and bar in the centre of Dolgellau. What was the original old County jailhouse has been skilfully converted into a contemporary, stylish and yet cosy restaurant serving traditional British dishes with a Welsh
What a delightful meal and whole experience we had eating here. The two staff on duty were superb at their job, the perfect hosts and advisors. They had the natural, relaxed and friendly skills which showed their considerable experience and enjoyment of their jobs. The food was excellent too. My Summer Pea Soup was light and delicious and gave me inspiration for my own cooking. My wife's Smoked Salmon with yoghurt and blinis was very much enjoyed. We both had the Rump of Lamb with Potato Rosti, cooked precisely to meet our very different tastes. Beautiful Lamb, perfectly flavoured. Puddings were fine but the whole meal was a very enjoyable event.

We had a lovely Sunday lunch sitting on the terrace looking out over the estuary to Cader Idris and the surrounding hills. Good use of local food cooked to the highest standard and beautifully presented. Lovely friendly front of house staff. We will certainly return. Thank you.
