This charming restaurant is the hidden gem tucked away between the gorgeous Linderhof Palace and Zugspitze that offers the grand panorama view of Bavaria, Austria, Switzerland and Italy. Located on the hilltop of HohenpeiÃenberg, this award-winning venue also provides the idyllic view overlooking the Bavarian villages in addition to the authentic Bavarian gourmet along with classy ambience. I had come on guard for what it had to offer after being bamboozled by a few restaurants/beer gardens in the nearby touristy places. Yet, dining here had become one of the highlights of this excursion. HohenpeiÃenberg a wonderful get-away from the hustle and bustle and Bayerischer Rigi is where you should raise a mass of beer and Prost!

Neapolitan kitchen.
After visiting Neuschwanstein Castle we were passing through Steingaden in route to Munich. Stopped here for some pizza. And did it not disappoint! Their dough, top notch. I have yet to visit Italy but this seemed like the real deal. Itâs a family operated joint and the owner/chef comes from Italy. Totally caught us by surprise on how good his pies are and well priced, would highly recommend if looking for Italian fare.

We made an impromptu visit here before lunchtime. The staff were incredibly helpful and friendly. We had some delicious traditional sausages and pretzels. The kids enjoyed the games. We'd recommend popping in here whilst you are travelling the Romantic Road.

Small traditionel bavavrian Resturant in the heart of Schongau.Come and enjoy a cold beer and good bavarian food in our small beergarden or comfortable restaurant after an exhausting field day We are looking forward welcoming you and your family yours "Ga
I am really not sure where to begin. The Lindauer is just off the market square in the old town of Schongau, the interior is dark and not very welcoming, so we chose the Biergarten which turned out to be the former car park. We were one of 6 tables, 2 of whom had already eaten. Service was painfully slow, so slow the lady sitting alone on the adjacent table gave up and left. Having ordered, we received our starters of Liver Dumpling Soup - very strange, and Smoked Salmon with Rösti - tasty. After that it all went downhill, another table got one of our mains, then one of our mains was the wrong dish, cold plates and truly poorly put together. The poor waitress was completely overwhelmed by the situation and totally unsupported by management. Give this place a wide berth.Hello Graham, the fact that you like Fawlty Towers shows that you have at least a good sense of humor.Unfortunately you don´t have a good sense of decency.First of all why do you order a liver dumpling soup (which is very traditionel) if you think that it is kind of strange? Why don´t you just open your mouth after you realised that a diffrent tabel get your order. If you give us the worst review which someone can get then you actually should tell other people the truth and not poor lies. You gave us 2 stars for the food and service and on the other side you say the salmon was tasty? so what! 1 Star for the price. What do you expect?! Dinner for 5 Euro ? If quality food is to expensive for you we recommend the restaurant golden M for you they serve good burger for 1 Euro and really good chips (a big chain) Atmosphere 1 Star ???Why did you chose to stay if you don´t like it? Mistakes that a waitress get confused with the tabel if she get an order in a foreign language can happen, god gave us all a mouth to talk to each other so please doesn´t matter wherever you are instead of getting rid of your frustration in Tripadvisor TALK TO US !!!All in all your review is not fair at all we hope you had a nice trip anyway

This quaint restaurant is a must for anyone visiting Schongau. Speciality of the house is Flammkuchen, a southern German take on the pizza, but much better, wafer thin crispy base, with various toppings. The kitchen is a shining example of keeping things simple yet really tasty. Very well priced and a great wine list too.
I couldn't fault this Italian restaurant which served delicious, hot pasta with nice starters, house wine and coffee to finish. Service was excellent. We got the last table so think about booking. If you fancy pasta then go here!

An einem lauen Sommerabend besuchten wir dieses Restaurant mit einem sehr schönen Innenhof. Das Essen war gut. Der Service schnell und zuvorkommend. Wir kommen gerne wieder.
