Karlâs Sausage Kitchen & European Marke is well known throughout New England for its authentic old-world European sausages, cold cuts and smoked meats, made on the premises with the finest meats and spices. They also stock imported products jams, jellies,
Not your average restaurant, this is a set of cafe tables at the back of a food market selling German and north European foods including a delicatessen with sausages and cheese. With that said there's a full kitchen, menu and bar serving German food and beer. The food was excellent, I had schnitzel. The staff were very friendly and helpful and were really good with our 6 year old. We'll definitely be back with friends.

We ate in Nathaniel's for breakfast each day of our 3-night stay because we enjoyed the ambience of the room so much, the table settings and seating arrangement were lovely and the atmosphere was relaxing. During this time, we ordered from the menu and also the continental breakfast....both were very good and my husband was impressed with the bacon and eggs. The continental had fresh fruit chilled perfectly as well as pastries, cereals, etc. I enjoyed every bite of the blueberry muffin one day and cranberry orange another. A nice arrangements of teas was presented at my request and every day, the service was excellent.Pricing was in line with other restaurants and we were thoroughly pleased.ncftx:Thank you for staying at the Hawthorne and dining in Nathaniel's before you set out on your daily adventure. We introduced a new breakfast menu a few weeks ago and updated our continental display, which caught your eye. We are pleased you enjoyed both the sunny restaurant and the service.

We had lunch here on our every-other-year pilgrimage to New England. I reviewed the store before but hadn't had any prepared sandwiches. My companion had kielbasa, I had liverwurst on rye. The roll was excellent, the kielbasa was huge and super delicious (I had him cut me a piece). The liverwurst was ground fine, creamy, and very, very good. The rye bread was perfect. Both sandwiches were made while we waited. There are 2 small tables inside the store or you can take your sandwiches outside. This is a very good option for lunch.

My ticket for Salem Witch Museum indicated that I could get a discount here, so I went. Unfortunately, the discount applied to food only, & I only wanted a drink. Also, unfortunately, they were out of my 1st choice in beer. But, the server/bartender was friendly, & this was a great place to kill about an hour on a rainy afternoon.

In this completely unpretentious neighborhood grill, you will find the most wonderful seafood dishes for many miles around. Don't look for fried clams or lobster rolls, they don't have them. We had seafood stew, grilled octopus, and garlic shrimp. All were excellent. The broth for the stew is rich in flavors and worth a trip from anywhere! We left none to waste. Same with the mussels appetizer, we soaked up all the garlicy butter sauce with bread, excellent. Simple attractive dining room, small bar, friendly family operation, great Portuguese recipes, reasonable prices. I live an hour away, and I will be back soon.
