Even though the big personality of Cesare is no longer there the service and attention to detail is still present. Itâs expensive but for a special occasion worth splashing out. The tagliolini with the white truffle shaved on top was amazing. Lamb cooked to perfection and so tasty. Zabaglione as good as ever let down by the frutti di bosco which was tasteless. Very nice bottle of sangiovese riserva.

Great thing about this place is that you can find all kinds of Italian food, sea food and also pizza, they're all very tasty. Honestly the best pizza I have had in years. We had two more classic tastes as sausage & salami and ânapoletana veraceâ but we also tried one from the âgourmetâ menu with fried pumpkin flowers, buffalo ricotta, smoked provola cheese and âcolatura di aliciâ ( an Italian fish sauce made from anchovies)..we loved them all and it was a lot to eat â¦â¦.but that didnât stop us from trying one of the homemade desserts, we had a Sicilian cannolo which was delicious.Good beer selection and wine as well. We visited Bologna for four nights following in the footsteps of Rick Stein. Tried his first recommendation and were disappointed by the service.... Can't think why he missed 051..... it's brilliant! Right in the heart of Bologna's "Soho". Wait for a table if you have to.... The hams and cheeses are superb, the tortellini marvellous and the tortelloni truly memorable....... And all for about 30Euros a head including wine. Go there!

Even though the sommelier and maitre was very polite and explained everything the rest of the time nobody was allowed to decide anything without calling him to your table (not even to open your bottle of wine - which we had to wait for more than 10 min). They served revisited Italian molecular classical dishes. For the ones that like this is good to very good. Very good wine selection thus maybe slightly too expensive.. The service was too slow and it took us three hours to have four sets of meals (the chef's prize, first, second, dessert) That was tiring and annoying. Dear Sir,we are very sorry to read your remarks about the slow service and we apologize for it, but unluckily you happened to visit us on a very busy evening, we had a lot of guests (more than expected, actually) and this particular situation created some problems in organizing the service.This isn't a usual situation for us and, if you decide to give our restaurant a second chance, we would like to show you that our standards are much higher. If you're in the area you've got to try this taverna. The food is great. Prices are fair. Portions are nice. Huge wine list. Smaller but very good menu. Try the foie gras or wagyu kobe beef appetizer and don't miss the local buffalo as main. Pasta as secondi was wonderful. We tried antipasto, prime and secondi but could manage to eat everything. Desert wasn't fitting anymore but we were more than happy with the food and the service is friendly and efficient. Yes we were the only non Italians too which is a good sign I guess and the restaurant was full...

Simply outstanding food and service. I would highly recommend this restaurant. Had an amazing fish soup for â¬18, total bargain. My friend had the seafood salad. Went back for dinner and had a pizza which was perfect! Had a glass of wine by the pool beforehand, delicious complimentary snacks and lovely bar man. Going back again tonight for more.
