Best schnitzel and potatoes of our month-long tour through Germany and Austria. Note the menu changes daily so there is no English version. The waiters give you a WiFi code so you can use your phone to translate the menu. The food is sbsolutely worth it! You know it's good when most of the diners are local!

Choosen by ranking in TA and no disappointment. Very good mood, decent wine and service. I had Branzino with potato puree and may recommend it. Maybe a bit dry so some olive oil will make the job.

We came here as part of a cider-tasting excursion from our river cruise ship. What an amazing experience. We were a small group (maybe 20) so had a very personalized experience. The tour started in the farmhouse courtyard where our host (and the farmâs owner) Klaus, explained the history of the farm and his mission to bring cider-making and natural farming to a new generation. Klaus was so enthusiastic about his familyâs work and life that it was a joy to listen to him no matter what he was talking about. We then moved into the modern restaurant for a cider tasting and lunch. We were given 5 different hard ciders to try (a variety of apple only, pear only, mixed, and sparkling). As they were being poured Klaus explained the history of Austrian cider making and provided us with tasting notes to enhance our experience. As the sparkling cider was being poured our âsnackâ was served. It was a full lunch and EVERYTHING was from the farm. There were three different types of house-cured pork / ham, one very much like a fine Italian prosciutto; a green salad; potato salad (ask any Austrian about their love of potatoes); and a few relishes / garnishes like freshly dug and grated horseradish. All of this was served on individual cutting boards with fresh from the oven bread. We finished with a sweet roll (also warm from the oven) and more sparkling cider. I learned so much about Austrian farm life and culture in these 2 hours. The passion our host exhibited almost brought me to tears. One of the specialties of both the farm and restaurant is goose - - ah, too bad I wonât be in Austria at Christmastime!

The food is wonderful and unique given the Scandinavian and Asian fusion cooking. The brothers who run the place are very friendly, helpful and interactive.Scallops werenât on the menu at this time, but they whipped them up upon request.Stop in for a bite. You wonât regret it.

We just stopped in for a beer, as alas, it was not mealtime. This looked like a charming place with picture windows providing a pretty view of Linz down below. We were entertained by a young mother chasing her free-spirit two-year old all around the room for the entire time. Charming.

We had a big group visit and the restaurant did a wonderful job accommodating us. Food was well prepared and very fresh. Terrific location and the town hosts many public events in the street in front of the restaurant.

Every year we dine here and it is always the same, high quality and wonderful experience. The dishes are well prepared and very delicious. The staff are very professional yet still friendly and helpful. We didn't notice it last year, but they had remodeled the einkehr. Before it was a traditional Austrian style. Now, it is a nice blend of traditional and modern decor, done with taste. A must go for an upscale, gourmet meal!

Gasthaus Zum Donauwirt. The Place to eat ... Featuring a peaceful surrounding: Mühlviertel - more specifically in Pupping- is the Donauwirt. A gathering place for gourmet friends from all over Austria. The idyllic inn at the River Danube and on the bike p
We had lunch here yesterday with friends and then celebrated my husband's birthday with a group of 28 people aged 2 to 70. We felt comfortable and welcome. The restaurant and wc are wheelchair accessible and lego was made available for the kids. The food and drinks were good and especially the Galgenspiess, a kebab served on gallows, went down well with the lads. They have Eierschwammerl (chanterelle mushroom) weeks at the moment and I wholeheartedly recommend the chanterelles in cream sauce. The dishes are reasonably priced, good quality and range from the traditional Wiener Schnitzel to more creative dishes like deep fried, spinach and cheese filled pancakes. They serve food all day but it may be necessary to reserve at lunchtime on weekends. On weekdays they serve a reasonably priced set menu at lunchtime.Dear Sarahthank you for your detailed review and commendation.in fact it is advantageous to reserve a table on weekends.honorific greetings
