I like the coffee at Vida. They also have great rolls and sweet treats to enjoy on the go. The service is tops and its always busy, no surprise! Their coffees are steamingly hot but nice to know that they take the time to offer a gorgeously hot latte too, not just a tepid one like you get at many take away coffee places. They stock delicious fresh fruit salads and fruit bowls as well as other yummy savouries. Their savoury muffin is one for the books!

We booked this restaurant a few days before our arrival as quite close to our accommodation and appeared to offer interesting menu choices. Traveled on dark country roads to reach this small village parade of shops and restaurants.We asked to move table as that offered was slightly away from main diners by colder window. There is a 7 course tasting menu or 5 course dinner menu- we chose the latter as did not like a couple of dishes on tasting menu and could choose what we wanted.Each dish was presented nicely and staff explained the constituents. All were tasty and we each had different items so could try each other.Service was a bit sporadic-not always same waiter and sometimes appeared slow.The restaurant on Friday eve was busy but not full. People seem to eat early so we were one of last to leave having arrived about 7-40.Having just arrived to the area price seemed great compared to what we would expect to pay back home- at least 50% difference favorable.Hi Phil,Thanks for taking the time to write a review, I'm glad you enjoyed your time spent with us!Kind regards,Glen

Barely a year ago this was one of my favorite restaurants in the country. But something has gone seriously wrong . The service is sad a total disaster. The food was poor . The waiter blamed the new menu for the service . I ordered the bernaise steak . He insisted the butter he brought me was Bernaise sauce and the customers love it this way . The steak was not done as requested and of poor quality. I ordered wine but it took 15 minutes to arrive and was not what I ordered. I wonât go back . Iâm so disappointed . They did not refund me for the steaks . The worst in a long time .

First class service here with food superbly cooked and presented with excellent flavoursWonderful atmosphere looking out on the mountains opposite, bliss.This is a must when visiting Cape Town, we always book early and have been eating in La Colombe when in the Cape for over 18 years.even before they were at Constantia Nek.

Used to support this place. Never again. Had a disagreement with manageress had no clue how to handle the situation ended up calling the owner who couldn't care a toss....Won't see me there again....Hi Jeffers12354,I think you are confused there was no such incident at Satori. We found the establishment to be on the shabby side but perhaps that is the intent - service and welcome was poor and the food very average poorly constructed fare. Ambience just on a street overlooking a railway line - disappointing offering and the coffee poor.

A favourite restaurant of mine and food,presentation,wine and service were,as usual,high class.mAybe we picked an unfortunate day because there was hardly anybody in the restaurant which is very unusual.Hope this was just a blip and for sure it is not a reflection on the quality of both food and service here.

We went here with the family for the Thursday food market. The market was really good with lovely food, but to be honest, we founds the vineyards wines less than stellar. Still, if you are in the area on a Thursday it is a nice place to visit in particular for families with children.

The restaurant and deli are two different places. This is a review for Foodbarn restaurant. This is a great place for a special occasion and offers really good French/continental food - and has been consistent over time. Quite expensive but value is reasonable. I do think it has lost a bit of the zing that it used to have - perhpas the famous chef - owner has moved on to other things.
