This place used to be our go to place when we were shopping in Plaza Shopping. They serve a crazy hash brown/ Shepards pie scenario stuffed with pretty much anything and it's normally really tasty. Maybe we just visited on an off night. I've dropped the score by 1 star as a result of my burnt evening potato. Normally I would score 4/5 for this place as it's tasty and a fun way to share food, but the burnt number just didn't do it for me! I will for sure go back and try again!

Var a pena!

We had lunch at Olimpo and it was absolutely fantastic. 5-star as far as I'm concerned. Amazing service, food, drink, and views. Love that they have live music and I'm looking forward to going back next time for dinner. Try any juice you want - freshly juiced at the bar. I suggest pineapple, mint, and sugar cane. The salmon Carpaccio was fabulous and huge.

Casa Fragni is a deli-bristro, founded and managed by 2 cuisine chefs born in Parma, Italy. Since 2011 they've been doing good and offering excellence in their services, with exclusive dishes and some of the recipes that run in the family for generations.
Casa Fragni is a very nice place to eat and drink having a quality time with your family, friends or partner. It has a great atmosphere and follows the "slow food"philosophy. Get there, ask about the daily special dishes, have a nice cup of wine or beer pint, relax and enjoy a nice time with your loved ones. I truly recommend trying one of the available desserts before leaving. Every day there are different in-house made desserts. The chocolate mousse based pies are my favorite ones.

The "rodizio" is wonderful. You can eat many delicious italian dishes for a unique price. The restaurant is pleasant and quiet and the cost is very good.

I wish the food and service had been commensurate with the beauty and standard of the place but sadly it was not - I had a moqueca de camarao and the shrimp were dry and tiny, as if they had been burned in the freezer for months before being cooked.... the rice served with it tasted like bad uncle ben's plastic bag rice and was not cooked properly. The shrimp were served with a pound of cooked banana which made it super super heavy. service was super slow, and waiters do not speak english so some Portuguese will help you to place your order

The best "arroz com polvo e brócolis" and "bolinho de bacalhau" not only from Niterói, but from whole Brazil. Was the first restaurant in Niterói where have eaten 15 years ago!!! Every meal goes through the hands of Sr Mario before being served. Nothing changed.

Living in Rio de Janeiro, I always heard "cariocas" talking about "Gruta de Santo Antônio" and its great Portuguese cuisine. Located in Niterói, on the other side of the Guanabara Bay, it is not very easily reached without some planning. Last May, finally, I experienced this hidden gem of Portuguese gastronomy in Niterói! Ms. Henriqueta Henriques, a lovely lady, and her family honor, for over 40 years, the Portuguese tradition of superb cuisine. A classic restaurant, with gentle service and generous portions (that may be easily shared by two or three guests) complete the scene. Codfish ("bacalhau", in Portuguese) and seafood are the high lights of "Gruta de Santo Antônio", sided by Portuguese top wines. We (four guests) had "Bolinhos de Bacalhau", as starters, and shared, as main course, "Bacalhau à Espanhola" and "Arroz de Camarão" (a shrimp risotto). Portuguese sweets, as desserts, are strongly recommended. Unforgettable! Bon Appétit!Dear,Thank you very much for your comment and your evaluation. To the next !!!
