Yes. Precisesly the place to be and go if you do not want to keep on eating schnitzels and pommes menu. I believe that public transport is a bit complicated. Location is great. Nice surroundings.Bit expensive for my standarts but I guess one time in a year won't hurt.
Where to eat Thai food in Muhldorf am Inn: The Best Restaurants and Bars

We went there expecting a range of authentic German and Bavarian dishes. But hamburgers, Thai curries and Turkish confused the menu. The service was not that great with one main course appearing 15 minutes before the other main course. So an average OK meal and average service.

Stopped at Geigerhaus for a Sunday lunch. Sat outside overlooking this pretty town. Service was good, our waitress could speak English and the menu is comprehensive. What I liked most about this restaurant was the food. It was good sized servings, tasty and well presented. Being such a nice setting, we spent 2 hours sitting on the terrace enjoying observing the activity in the main street of historic Muhldorf while having a beer. Well done Geigerhaus.

The Hammerwirt is located beautifully a little outside town, next to a small river and lake. One could hardly imagine a less idyllic setting.Unfortunately, our visit was a bit disappointing. We didn't really mind the wedding that took place at the same time, in a large tent next to the main building. However, we experienced a few issues during our visit.First of all, it all seemed rather filthy. The toilets were a complete mess as the wedding guests also used them. If a wedding with more than 100 guests takes place and there are only a handful of toilets available, they need to be cleaned regularly, at least once an hour.We also had issues with flies all the time during our dinner. We killed about 10, but we still bothered by them all the time. I imagine that you can't avoid insects when you're close to nature, but in a restaurant that advertises itself as a little higher class, measures should be taken to ensure that restaurant guests are not bothered by flies all the time during their meal....The waitresses were seen smoking on the terrace, and it smelled funny from the kitchen - it smelled of moldy water. Not very nice.Secondly, the service. We were served by an elderly waitress who had hearing issues and was unfortunately also unfriendly. When a waitress has a handicap like being a little hard of hearing, she should be a little friendlier to the guests and ask with a smile - not rude and brusquely - that the guests speak up.What really shocked me, however, was how my mother was treated. Due to an illness, my mother is in a wheelchair and struggles with speaking. When my mother tried to order, the waitress said in a very rough way ´Don't even try, I don't hear you´ I could see that my mother was deeply hurt and close to tears by being brushed off like that. She already feels bad about her condition, and to be treated as if she was mentally disabled was deeply hurtful. Also, the meals were not served together. It seemed like the place does not have the capacity to cater to more than 10 guests at once.Food was ok, but the trout tasted of stagnant water - unpleasant. The menu selection was also not very great - basically it was meat or fish with potatoes and salad, not much variation apart from that.I would say the Hammerwirt is ok, but pretends to be more than it is. I wouldn't return.
